This long awaited model arrived at home today.
To say I am thrilled is an understatement. This is a wonderful addition to my collection and such a brilliant livery. Will post some pics tonight. |

OK here are the pics.
Sorry about the poor quality cause I rushed to do them. I have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in buying the AV400 DC10s and look forward to their other releases. Enjoy and I hope they assist. |

I have this model too, and I agree with Tim, it's a beautiful livery and the mould is acceptable to me. It has its issues, but the livery makes up for them. My biggest complaint on this model: the seam on the tail nacelle. Other than that, great little plane and happy to have it.

I think for all of us that collect these critters, we should remember one simple thing. There will always be something to identify or call fault with against all models released by all manufacturers where this or that may not be quite right. No one single manufacturer stands heads above another.
Hey, that's life and we all have those don't we! This model to me is just perfect. Hey isn't that great. I bought it and I'm thrilled with it and it arrived in a beautiful box with super artwork and it was in one piece. The corro issue is no biggie to me coz the overall livery makes it a stunner. The engine seam issue on #2 is not a join but scribing which is a bee's togger too deep. Again no biggie and is not as noticeable as the grand canyon ruts on the GJ VC10 representing spoilers. The nose profile is perfect and I can establish that this is a very good representation of a DC-10 and that is all these toys are at the end of the day, just representations, facsimilies, replicas in miniature and nothing more. We buy them to satisfy a desire to have a hobby and my overall satsifaction level with this model is 10/10. To others, well I really don't care about what others think. |
