One of my favorite 1/400 models is my Pan Am A300.
When I bought the model the online seller had it listed as a Aeroclassics release. Yet when it arrived the box only said Pan Am Model Company, but the mold looked exactly like some of the other AC A300's I was looking at. So whats the relationship between the two, does Aeroclassics make the models for Pan Am Model Company?? Im also wondering why some retailers have Big Bird models listed as Big Bird/Aerocclassics. Were the some of the molds for BB models done by AC as well? Last edited by Phantom Phan1200; 05-04-2008 at 02:26 AM. |

The "Pan Am Model Company" used the AeroClassics mold for the A300 releases, at least that is the official word. I'm sure others will fill in the unofficial blanks.
There is no relation between AeroClassics and BlueBox, retailers list models the way they want and it doesn't always make sense but it is their business. |

Thanks for the info.
Let me make a little correction, I wrote Blue Box by mistake, what I meant to was Big Bird models. Do they share molds with AC?? Last edited by Phantom Phan1200; 05-04-2008 at 02:29 AM. |

Yes, they shared the 747 and 767 molds but it's been said that relationship is over.
