Use this software, which I have used and find very useful.
Once you download it is very easy to use Photo2Web Publisher If you need any help with this let me know. |

Alternatives photo host sites..
These sites can handle the original files easy. xs.to - Hosting (Up to 2mB files) ImageShack® - Image Hosting ( up to 1.53mb files) |

I would also try resizing your pictures to say 1024x768 pixels with a photo program (as suggested above), but it depends on what final size picture you need. For these forums a picture that size will fill up most peoples screens, I am not sure if when people upload pictures to this site (I have never done it) if it automatically resizes them smaller than 1024x768 anyway, if it does then there is no harm in in resizing them first. A picture with a size 1024x768 file size should be under 1mb. (With compression it will reduce the file size futher). At 7.1mp, these pictures must be quite big, good for very large prints but not for the web. Hope this hasn't confused you, you need to remember that picture size and file size are seperate things. Hope this helps.

Try Photobucket:
Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket Photobucket will automatically resize your images to the size of your choice when you upload. There are 7 sizes ranging from "Tiny (100 x 75)" to "1 megabyte file size" for basic free membership. For "Pro" upgraded membership there are 6 additional larger sizes up to "5 megabyte file size." You probably would not need "Pro," since the smallest size at "19" screen (1280 x 960)" begins to be a bit too large for most forum posts. The larger pro sizes are better suited for wallpaper backgrounds, and photography, etc. Last edited by SFView; 04-17-2008 at 09:38 PM. |

You can edit your pictures through the edit feature on your computer. My edit feature gives me four choices under "Compressed Pictures". Another route is Photobucket as others have mentioned.
