Phoenix Cathay Pacific B77W available in american/canadian online stores ?

Hey guys...

I was just talking with a friend of mine, where he could find the Cathay 77W in North America... Does any of you got it in stock, Nick, Steve ??

I tried to fix him trough a Ebay UK, but he couldn't get online with his Ebay.ca username, Im such an ebay noob, anyone care to help us out where he could find it elsewhere...

If he signs into Ebay.ca and clicks advanced search, he should be able to search on international Ebay sites.

There is one on Ebay Belgium, much cheaper than that. Have a look, auction will be over in about three days.

FYI, I was in HK two weeks ago when the model had just been released. I though it was a piece of cake to get one locally.

First choice - closest - was AirBus models which offered it to me on hand at 700 HKD (approx. USD 90) as it was already sold out. I politely declined and went looking for another source but oh, boy!..... I was able to grab the last one for HKD 450 (approx. 60 USD) after a tough negotiation.

I also checked later on at Toy Studio in BKK, which has a very good selection of Phoenix models, but they were sold out as well.

I think this model might go over $100 easily and it won't be available for sale for long. As I understand this item was already sold out in pre-sales in the US.

Damn, glad i got mine when I did at a normal retail price. Rule of thumb is if a Cathay model you want is released don't hesitate, order it right away!

Funny that I had visited the MBK Center three times in one week and did not even think to look for a model shop. My mind was on finding a shirt and a pair of trousers. I visited Central World three times as well. I had my mind on going to a movie...saw National Treasure and two others and did not think to look for a model shop. So I missed visting both. I did mangage to find a $35.00 cigar, however.

We have found a source for this model though, and it's not exceeding the 90 buckss lol..

Yes, Herpa's CXs a bit darker, but I still can live with that. I'm happy I got mine.

Goldy's been more exhaustive and quick than me. BTW, the BTS line is connected directly to the second floor of MBK. You have only to cross a Dept. store to enter the main complex and you find the store just close nearby. Mostly Gemini, Herpa, Dragon and many Phoenix. Prices are way better in HK however, though going with a Thai friend might help.

90 bucks is way too much for any model to me. And would definitely not have paid even 60 if I did not like it. But when I now look at it I feel good and not like I paid silly money. So far!
