Default New South-East Asian Arrivals

Hey All,

noticed a few 'new arrival' posts popping up, and thought my latest shipments were quite colourful and interesting. So I thought I'd share. Plus I'd finished up another terminal building from the growing popular Airport Designs guys so here's some pics...

Before I get into it, I'm really impressed with the Phoenix B777's. The Cathay Pacific one is awesome, and the Singapore Airlines is also great. I was able to sit both next to a Thai Airways B772 as well. I also tracked down a Viva Macau B762 which has an amazingly striking livery, you'll also notice the Big Bird British Airways B744 'Change for Good', and QantasLink B717.

The real surprise in this lot was the Hainan Airlines B738. I love the box and everything it came in, it looks awesome. I flew in a B734 in the same livery, so this model is the closest I have to remembering that flight in 1:400 scale!

You'll also see below the beginnings of my airport. It's a bit ho-hum now that so many other Airport Designs airports are popping up. But hopefully I'll be able to do something special with it

Anyway, enough from me, let the pictures do the talking...

Airport Overview - Not the final design. But it worked for the purpose of the photo.

A QantasLink B717 (so this is obviously in Australia somewhere!) pulls up to the temporary gates (as there are no jetways!) alongside a Hainan Airlines B738 (so, Hainan are now flying internationally to Australia) and a Viva Macau B762.

Triple Seven City. Thai, Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines B777's all awaiting their departures back home.

Hainan Airlines B737-800

Viva Macau B767-200ER

Packaging of the Herpa Hainan Airlines B738, includes numbered card.

Hope you enjoyed,

Dan

The Viva Macau is too clean Dan.
Throw it in a tub of old engine oil and then sand and it will look just like the 1:1 I saw parked up at SYD 2 months ago near the Bus.Jet apron.
The aircraft was filthy dirty. Not what you would expect from a relatively new start-up.

haha really? Wow? The one Mac and I spotted in late Feb was clean as anything! It's what got me to purchase this one. Hard enough to track down, but the manufacturing quality is quite poor, so with some spare dosh I might track down another one...

Here's a pic I took in BrisVegas in late August last year when the aircraft was much cleaner. They probably haven't washed it since. Nonetheless, I think the colour scheme is groovy. I might have to look for one.

I've got that Thai 777 : my biggest complaint about this one is the nose is way too short.

Nice shot as always Dan. I also have the QF717 and I love every bit of it. By the way, did the Hainan 738 comes with wooden box?

Thanks aerozo, the Hainan comes with an 'imitation' wood box. It looks great though. The QF717 in the photo is one of three that have found their way to me (I didn't plan for that many honest!).

Cheers,

Dan
