Default Wow...DW Peter Max Model...

CONTINENTAL AIRLINES 777 "PETER- MAX NYC YEAR 2000 " - eBay (item 220193553016 end time Feb-17-08 13:31:39 PST)

I can not believe this model is worth this much cash...$129.99 is the listing price...plus shipping...Is this model really that exclusive? I was able to find two copies of the Dream Jets model a lot cheaper than this...any ideas what makes this model so high priced?

well i dont think so it should cost that much, coz I am getting the same model for around 1700 INR (thats around $45) at my one and only local DW retailer here in INDIA... so I dont think it should be that heavily priced!!

At The Time They Were Released The Retailers Charged A Premum For Corporate Models That Is IF They Had It!. 90 Bucks Both At Av World & Threshold Aviation.

I Got Mine At Threshold The Minute They Opened The Box From The Manufacturer. I Grabbed One & The Other 5 Were Sold Within Minutes.

People Have Virtually Given These Away In The Years Since But I Still Think This Model Has Value. Still Not An Easy Find. DW Cockpit At That Time Was 1200 Percent Better Than Dreamjets/Gemini & That's Fact, Not Opinion, Plus DW Did Not Have The Tail Seam.

I Don't Regret Spending The 90 Bucks. If The Model Is Worth 129 Bucks To Someone, Then That's What It's Worth. For Those That Do Not. Keep Trying. Mabe You'll Luck Out, Then Mabe You Wait Another 5 Years.
Your Choice.

This was my first 1:400 model. I wasn't even a 1:400 collector before this model and bought it only because I liked Continental, liked the livery and was looking to take a chance on a different scale. I got it for $50 at The Airplane Shop. At the time I was a dummy and tossed the box but have since found another.

i bought mine for about $40 2 years ago, dont suppose they come around that often but when one does on ebay with a better starting price you will probably end up paying less then that with a good fight , keep waiting .
i bid on a DW Citybird MD-11 Albatross last month and it eventually sold for over $107.00 a few weeks later i bought on buy it now for equal to $13.00 .

I guess I was lucky to fly on Peter Max on 2 occasions between EWR and HKG and PEK China...

I wonder what my autographed Dream Jet and 1/100 Pac Min 777 models signed by Peter Max are worth, or did it lower the value???
