I'm waiting for JX's. And like I said with N311MD: THIS ISN'T HOUSE COLORS. I want N211MD. Not its sisterships and other early-build MD-11's. 211, in full purple striping. Nothing less.

The wings and stabs look totally wrong---polished bare metal?

And what's with the yellow-green #2 pylon?

Also, it suffers from the "mis-matched" engine cone problem. And the engine paint doesn't match either--why do #1 and #2 have totally different colors and patterns? And unlike Herpa's 1/200 LH model, they can't use the excuse that they worked from a specific photo---the larger type of exhaust cone wouldn't exist until YEARS after 111MD had been repainted and delivered to FedEx. 111MD could never have had a #2 engine like that.

Are you being sarcastic in that post? There were 4 MD-11 prototypes. (Well, 5, but the 5th wore full Delta paint)

I'll wait as long as I have to until DW finally gets around to making JX's latest:

(and I believe JX intends to do the others as well)

I like this one and some of the other prototypes, I just do not like the Phoenix MD-11's, particularly the engines. They should redo it, some of their other moulds are good but not the MD-11.

No, that's pure Boeing propaganda/revisionist history. The ONLY plane ever to wear the teal/blue scheme is N901DC, the first MD-90.

Who has the best MD11 & how many different moulds are there. Some debate on this would be appreciated.

p.s. I always thought there could only ever be ONE prototype of any aircraft type!

Early and late versison of GE engines as you can see the difference of round and pointy cone.

Wing cone (where flaps are) modified on late MD-11 (1996? or so til the end of MD-11 prod) Any built before that year didn't have wing cone. Do research at Delta N815DE The only one MD-11 that have cone in DL's 15 MD-11 fleets. or late model in Finnair's fleet say... The last passenger MD-11 built reg ends E not sure if more before E or after E as they bought a few from other airliners into their fleet. or Look at last Lufthanasa's MD-11. Not sure if all of LH MD-11 comes with wing cones as LH placed an order much late. Whar a Partypooper!

Wiper bladers modified to up position from horizon position for aerodymic improvements.

Some other minor areas for aerodyminc modified? I think?

DH will explain way better than I do. No worries.....

If you mean models? DW/JX, GJ, and PX/AC have MD-11 mould. Who is best? That varies individual's opinion. I think all are about the same as all of them have + and - issues but they are just a model. I think they all beat 1/100 scale models anyway!

Just buy what you like.
