Default Revised Qantas logo, which is closer?

Hello Guys,
Like many of you all, i long waited for the Revised Qantas logo, i received both model yesterday, photo show the 767 by Phoenix and 380 by Gemini Jets, i notice legs of the 767 (Phoenix) stretch more than Gemini Jets, what do you guys think? does anyone have these two models and can see the different?. To me i think the Pheonix 767 got the stretch of the leg spot on.

How do we know it was the same kangaroo that posed for both the pictures though?

Mac, the Gemini looks slightly closer... particularly the shade of red, but the head and foot shape on the roo also.

Awesome that you've got your models so quickly. Hoping my A380 is on it's way to me soon, and the B767, well, not sure when that one will be coming in.

I'm lead to believe that the roos leg will be slightly different on all airframes due to tail layout etc.. so both could be right!

You cannot really compare 2 different aircraft-types from two different manufacturers.
Who made the big foot spot on ?
Its really hard to tell as the Gemini have a larger plane tail to play with (A380), while PHX had the smaller 767 tail. PHX QF 747 tail logo will look different (Insert assumptions here) as it will be larger than the 767. Who knows.
Here are another photo's hope it's more clearer, as to the size of the plane what's this got to do with the stretch of the Logo? (roo's leg) if you said the tail logo will be different on the 747/767 and a380 or 717 a330 than how come? (regardless of the manufacture) we don't seem to spot the different on previous roo's logo on mentioned aircraft.

mate its got to do with what can and can't be painted areas on an airframe. Point in case is the A380 around the tail near the elevators can't be painted. so hence why the change in livery, when it is applied to other airframes the positioning will vary slightly due to tail length and wight etc. Understand now?

Ok, I think, instead of different aircraft, the overall shape of the roo between the PHX and GJ version is in question.

I can see subtle differences in the shape of the head, particularly around the ears, and around the 'front paws' of the roo between the GJ and PHX. Also, I think the 'big foot' needs more bend in the PHX version from what I can see compared to the real photo.

It seems more noticeable in the second photo that Mac posted that the outline of the GJ seems more defined. It's all much-the-muchness from a distance though. But I would hazardly suggest that the GJ Roo's overall shape is more accurate.

Happy Christmas!

Dan

The GJ A380 version looks sensational. I think GJ did a good job on this tail.
The PHX looks ok - the new logo looks awkward on the 767 tail in real life so I think PHX did a decent version on this also.

Whats going to be interesting is to see this scheme on the 744's.

Bangkok Lady La, tho it's a photoshopped version, if you pick up a current (or new) edition of a Qantas Holidays brochure from a travel agent, they have a pic of a QF 744 in the new livery. It looks pretty good I think. But I like the new livery, so it doesn't matter what they put it on methinks

(I just checked the QF Holiday brochures online and they have an original B744, but I have one with the photoshopped in it, so go check out a travel agent lol)
