Wasn't Bavaria / Germanair one of the very first A300s operators ? If so, would be nice to see AC releasing the A300 in their colors as well.
This BAC 1-11 is really fantastic !

if i was to get one of these it would be the bavaria, but not a must have so will save some money, Nice work by aeroclassics though bringing out 2 new moulds this month . Will december see a 3rd ? whats happened to A300 production ?
Andrew with most aeroclassic models these days selling out just by word on the forums alone,, why dont you increase production, even by a little and earn more. or would you rather have exclusivity then the extra cash 30-40 models would bring you.

IMHO odd choice of airlines for initial releases.

..... Odd choice of liveries? Let's not be hasty there. Consider how many people outside our hobby just plain consider us odd? Oh yeah, the dulcetory comment, the eyes rolling ("not another freakin' toy!"), the smile without a word or the "oh, that's cute/nice" from wife, girlfriend, mother or any other family member/aquaintance that may be exposed for better or worse to our collections.
..... So odd choices? Maybe now to you, but later something that sets your heart afire may well be an odd choice to others here.
..... I won't get the Bavaria in spite of it being a really nice livery due to having so much of my meager funds committed to other, perhaps odd choices of livery, models.
..... Just enjoy it pal. Your day will come.
Dave

Certainly, yes!

@olympicpis,
Germanair was the first operator of the advanced version, A300B4. After the merger with Bavaria Flugges., those B4 were operated under Bavaria-Germanair, carrying the basic Germanair colors with updated logo - a stylized Lion-head for Bavaria - the B4 were then integrated into Hapag-Lloyd Flug when the airline was sold to them.

I'd love to see all three Germanair/Bav.-Germanair A300B4:

- D-AMAX; "Maximilian" Germanair 1975 delivery colors
- D-AMAY; "Ludwig I" Bavaria-Germanair color 1977/78
- D-AMAP; Hapag-Lloyd Flug early 80's colors

D-AMAZ joined 1977 but immediately went on to Egypt and joined Hapag not before 1982, now reg.ed D-AHLZ.

Vielen danke Phantom, that's certainly a complete information. I remember one of my very first ever models - I am not sure if it was a Schabak or a Herpa - was such a Germanair A300B. Would be great to see it on the excellent AC mould.
Cheers
