Is it poor picture quality, or are the two planes different shades of blue? And the BBX doesn't have the wing registration. The bird logo on the fuselage doesn't look right on the BBX, either. Pass on that.

I'm surprised to say this, but the KLM blue on the BB one looks better. It has the slightly greenish blue that old KLM blue had. (Yes, there's several shades of KLM blue, it hasn't been constant over the decades--there's basically 80's blue, and 90's blue)

AC looks too pale, even for the "old" KLM blue which is less intense than new KLM blue.

AC also got the stabs painted wrong. Is GJ the only company on the planet that can paint 747 stabs correctly?

Aside from your oversized font, and big mouth, care to offer some photographic proof!
According to my photos, the model is correct!
The shade of blue is also correct!

I do not agree with you Andrew, I think the colors of the BBx is better than on your model.

The blue is too bright, and the cheatline is too dark. Please see the attached picture to see what I mean.

You can find a pic of PH-BUE on A.net, taken from inside the cabin, that shows the reg numbers on the wing if you look hard. But I believe they stopped using them by 1990 or so. So it's appropriate for -200's like this, but not -200SUD's and later. Generally.

This BB2 vs AC game is beyond a bad joke.
Sure there are coincidences, but this is plain absurd.

Mmm...The bird logo on the tail section should be more darker or intense blue if you compare it with the real thing. In this case, the blue colours on BB one looks more accurate to me.

Problem with pics like that, is that they're quite washed out...

Look at the sky.. where is the blue? It's not overcast in the picture... What about the tarmac? Hardly looks grey.

And then there's the photo of the model... I think it's best to see more than one picture of the model, then you'll find out it's true color.

I'm not a GA expert but this is based on my observations - maybe our Indonesian friends can chip in.

The GA logo has 3 different shades of green (lower) and 3 different shades of blue (upper). Most model manufacturers only show one shade each of the green and blue. Plus, the shades of blue and green differ wether the logo is on a white background or on a dark blue background. As for the KL-GA hybrid aircraft, both the GA logo on the tail and fuselage seem to be the same.

Not AC/EC!

The logo on this upcoming EuroClassics should be the same logo as on previous releases, multi-colored:

The colors on the picture I posted were the true colors of KLM.

That has never happened, so why would it be any different this time?

Does anyone remember back in the days of TucanoGate the excuses they had for colors, "All your d*mn monitors suck, and need to be calibrated".

In terms of Garuda they should have different colors for the bird for nearly each section, though you can go the easy way out like Dragon did and have them all the same color. I don't think though that especially with these hybird liveries that there was a consistancy throughout the years in terms of color match for the logos for the actual aircraft much less the dozens of Garuda hybirds that existed.

Well all I can say is, based on the photos posted to date, the BBX colours look better than the EC colours, especially the KLM blues. If (IF!) the colours on the EC are better than they appear to be above, then whoever took the EC photos is doing EC no favours.

Both logos on the fuselage and the tail section should be the same colours (in tones of navy blue and blue/green) as on the original aircraft. See the image I just posted here.

Perhaps, I should wait until I see the actual models before making any final judgment.

Wow, i may get this version of KLM/GA model....but which one is better? BB or AC??

Seeing all of our fellow collectors comments....I think the final vote for which model to buy still lies with yourself. You judge & chose yourown after seeing both models and pics from the real plane

Andy, the only reason for the photo, taken next to tinted windows on a reflective surface, was to ONLY prove the existance of the model, and not the acuracy of the colors.

I can assure you though, that the colors are correct, inluding all the colors of the Garuda bird!!
