Cool! One question, though...why are they using the same engines that AC used on the Air France? Those look kinda chunky. My PSA looks so much more convincing.

AC didn't do the Air France Bae-146's, that was the same mould as this, from Jet-X.

Uh, yeah...that's what I meant. Yeah, Jet-X. But now my question makes no sense...

I have just received my Ansetts and RAFs.
These are the first pics which do this little guy justice.
I will note the light blue is a couple of shades lighter than it should be but I love em both.

The RAFs are just outstanding!!!

Brian, I think a re-release with the AN colour adjusted would assist in sales but I certainly won't get rid of these. Only other observation would be a re-look at the distance of the wheeltrack on the model also. Just a tad too narrow.

This is the better of the 146s available IMHO.
I'm very excited about this JX model and hope there are many more to come and will (hopefully) end up with a great little collection of a great little a/c.
Have flown on them many many times and always enjoyed the sound of flaps extending and retracting. Such a ghostly sound on night flights.

Overall, I just love these models.

Maybe thin the engine cowling intake a bit as well...

Then you're in luck and can buy this model as it is all metal.

Metal will rust and fall apart over years, plastic won't.

This is a pretty convincing BAe146 effort IMHO especially from overhead as in the photo below. I particularly like the engine/pylon joins (no gaps like on GJ). The pasenger windows are correctly sized (GJ just slightly oversized).

Sorry, but I still couldn't live with that light shade of blue on the Ansett version though ...

Now if Brian fixes the little "issues" (like wheel track) future releases will look even better. A little tweaking of those cockpit windows wouldn't go astray either (I know they are a particularly awkward shape/configuration, so I suppose it is difficult to absolutely "nail it" in 1/400 scale)

Gavin

Gavin,
you wait till you see pics of the 146 RAFs.
Absolutely outstanding and Just so damn good.
I love these models.
In the flesh, the AN light blue is not as bad as the pics make it out to be. I'm not disappointed with mine. OK some slight rework but certainly not a lot.
I don't like the GJ version at all. Looks clumsy and bitsy.

True, but I think most of us dust our little critters every now and than.

Just the thought of my Pan Am fleet all dusty makes me wheep...

I don't have problem with dust, yet. I put them all in boxes.

That's the best way to 'display' the models!
