Also...is this model "blessed" with rolling wheels.

It was definately out of scale on the first Cubana release.

I still want one.
The Tail stand I never had in the picture, just didn't add it. It is removable. The wheels do not roll. This is one of the last moulds that did not have the new style landing gear.

I disagree!

My 'point and shoot' Canon S2IS does a pretty good job of both real and model aircraft..

And now that the S3 is out, this one will be even cheaper, probably around $275US or so.

Here's two random pics:

i was looking that the S2IS last time. It has about 12x optical zoom, which is more than 380mm. I would think under normal outdoor shot it would be sufficient. In the event that you want to take night shots, you might want to invest in something with a higher ISO setting, for example. Didn't get the S2IS because it's too heavy for my wife.

Nice photos, but please show your photos from a p&s accepted by airliners.net to be posted on their web site. I have a lot of great photos of planes from a p&s, but they still don't meet the high standards of airliners.net. If you have a large number (6 or more) of photos of planes from a p&s accepted by Airliners.net to post on their web site, I will kiss your a** and buy you a Ruth Chris steak dinner.

I went to the a.net search page and type in "Canon S3", "Canon A70" and "IXUS" in the keywords column and this is what I found.

For the Canon PS S3IS is somewhat a semi-professional type of camera. However, I am quite surprise that some pictures were even taken with lower range camera such as the A70 and IXU65. In fact, there isn't much setting that you can play with on the IXUS65 - ISO, exposure...that's about it. Looks like I need to sharpen my photo shooting skill more than I need a camera.

Pictures copyright of their respective owners.

Hey, Waiping, Who The Fukk Said You Can Create A Wishlist? (Just Kidding!)

I Like That Allegro MD-80 (Or Is It a -90?) And The Blue Panorana 763!
Wow! Very Nice!

Yes PROSUMER Digitals Give The Quality Usually The Domain Of Professionals....But This Is Nothing New. In The Film Days A Quality PS Camera At $250-300 With a FIXED Lens Could Give The Same Picture Clarity as a $3,000 Nikon Or Canon.

Talking first off merry christmas dave........

I visited St Louis a couple of times and even had the occasion to go to the 94th Aero Squandron which litterly was located just a few feet away from the main runway. You could see all manner of big and small aircraft with regularity. Haven't been there lately however what with the demise of TWA I'am sure that the hey-day of aircraft watching and photo taking are not quite what they use to be.

As for camera.........years ago I purchased a Canon F-1 with all the bells and whistles along with a 24-85/4.0 lenses which I felt pretty much would cover all my photo needs.........haven't used it in years. Thought about selling it however given what I paid for the outfit including the motor drive MA I couldn't take the loss......besides maybe someday I'll get back into photography again.........my eyes are not what they use to be which further lessens my desire to return to photography. Besides some of the latest point and shoot which now-a-days have the capacity up to 7-10 megapixels might better suit me. Besides with the digital camera you can up load a lot easiier and a lot quicker should one of these days I finally get around to photographing some of my displayed models....especially the custom made ones in 1/200th scale.

Merry Chirstmas and Happy New Year to all of my fellow members in the collectorate and lets see what the new year brings..........

Oh and one last issue.......had Braniff survived deregulation and being one of top three or surviving carriers, theres a good chance that some if not all of these 'fantasy' schemes might very well have become a reality........WR

Mike, Thanks, and have a merry X-mas as well.

I do have some bad new to add to the TWA demise. They closed down 94th Aero Squadron a few years back. They really have ruined our fun here for the average plane spotter. They even took out a local hang out where you could park your cars, and watch the planes fly over. Really a sad state here in St.Louis.

Same news in Denver! The 94th closed more so burned down I think for insurance purposes then Stapleton closed. Pretty much the same story in Denver as in St. Louis.

It's Happening Globally. Montreal Lost The Outdoor Observation Deck, Why I Don't Know, It's A Secured Area.
With The "Progress" Of The New T-1 At YYZ, We Lost Our 360 Degree Rooftop View.
The Pricks At GTAA Will Not Have A Spotters Section (911 Concerns? Bulls hit, How About A Secured Area?)
And Parking at The Foot Of Runway 24R (Formerly 24L) Is Now Prohibited.
Luckily, We Have Wendys A 25. Our Version Of SXM.
Arizona Bar & Grill Next To Av World Is Not Bad, Either.
And When The Wind Shifts, 16R/33L Is The BEST Ever For Spotting. So I Guess Not Quite as Bad, But You Can See The Trend.

In-N-Out Burger at LAX is probably the best spot I have ever been to. You get to wolf down a double double with grilled onions, while have a 744 fly feet above your head. I took my daughter there, and a JAL744 flew over our heads. We were actually at the park accross the street, but close enouph for everything, and didn't get ran off at all.

Default Lufthansa Und Das Kafee Huas

The In & Out Burger Would Be Similar To Our Wendy's/Runway 25 On Airport Road.
I Got A Few Pics, But These Are Kind Of High. Often, They Are Lower Than This. The Aeroflot Is An Example. Standard 50MM Lens.

The Air Jamaica Is At The Infield Terminal, Situated West In Between Runway 16L/R, 33L/R

The Alitalia Is Landing 16R. The Best Area For Clear Unobstructed Ramp Shots. It will Taxi Pretty Much In Front Of You VERY Close & You Can Get Clean Shots Without Fences/Obstructions, Etc.

The Martinair Is On It's Run 33R. Diificult To Get Shots Here, Lots Of Obstructions, Fences Buildings, etc Not To Mention The GSE Traffic That Often Gets In Your Way At The Prime Opportunity.

Yes, it's a budget airline under the management of Air Asia, serving mainly domestic route in East Malaysia.
