Default NEW RELEASE: 1:400 BlueBox400 Air Canada L-1011 old colours

I doubt, L-1011 heavy is going to be getting this one
Nice addition to Air Canada fleet builders and those who like a bit of metal in the collection ....

This one will be nice, if they thought to modify the aft section. Does anyone know?

Again, a rehashed release!

Dragon did this one..

They could have, and should have done the black-nose delivery scheme. If they had I would've bought one.

I already have the Dragon Wings release........far superior model.

The funny thing it's (DW) 6 years older than the Blue Box model!

Dragon Wings did the L-1011-1, fantastic release. Judging from the pic, this is a -500, which hasn't be released, yet.

Thanks for thinking about me so much

This wouldn't be my first BBX.. I already own the ANA Tristar, and quite honestly, I hate it. I got it from a friend, so I'm keeping it.

If this was a long Tristar in the black nose livery, I would get it, but I sincerly dislike their short-body mould. The Herpa version (minus some tweaking) is far better..

You Hit The Hammer On The Nail HARD! And This One Of My Big Gripes With Some Of The New Moulds, Not JUST BBX.
We KNOW The Manufacturers Have The Ability To Make Even The TINIEST Regional/Propliner With An EXTREME High Degree Of Accuracy.
But It's Been My Contention That When THERE"S NO COMPETITION For Said New Mould, The Attention That High Degree Of Accuracy Goes Out The Window.
Look At Gemini's Abamination, The CRJ & The Trident Is Not Much Better. I Gaurantee You If Dragon Had A High Quality Version, Gemini Would At Least Attemt To Be Equal.
I Call It The "No Competition Quality Reversion"

You Might Be Right, Kam. I'm Pretty Happy With The DW Long Version. Plus The Reg# Is Infamous. CF-TNA Referring To Some Of The Better Parts Of The Female Anatomy.

I have tried to get them to file that back down but they won't listen. Even if they did this, it would be one step closer to a decent model.

Absolutely, this modified DC-10 mould sure reeks. I know the feeling with gifted models... I was thinning my collection and couldn't get rid of some because I got them from friends or family...
