I think that the 1:500 works well in my 1:400 scale version of LAX.

.....Let's face it... passenger terminal buildings are the designer specials, freight is just bland (it's freight!). Dave (currently experimenting with materials for passenger terminal) |

.....Oh you nudge me to make one and show the step by step. As it is I'm experimenting with materials to make a custom passenger terminal, but like I wrote, freight buildings are nothing to grab your attention. They don't have to be pretty, just utilitarian. The block of wood is about what they are. Maybe this weekend I'll just make one. Got plenty of scrap wood down in my cellar (why throw it out?).
.....Of course, like anything, if you want to do it, then you'll make the time. What better way to pamper our models than to make wonderful shelves, tarmacs, terminals and etc. for them. And if we have the time we'll do something for the wife. ;-) Dave (terminal builder?) |

I'm working on most of it. I have four 8x4 boards for the main terminal area and two 8x40" boards for the south cargo area. I'm trying to post pics here but I'm finding some difficulty. I actually posted a few on the Model Airport section some time back.

The photos are too much (in MB) for this forum. If anyone would like pics, e-mail me at: robt6191@hotmail.com

For the diehard collectors, the models come before wife or girlfriend.
