Is the nose gear supposed to be so delicate looking? It reminds me of Yosemite Sam's legs....big head and round body but small legs.

Once again, here's the Herpa disclaimer: Photos do not represent actual product. Numerous photos, are either product samples or computer generated and/or modified photos which do not represent the actual product but to get a minimal representation of what will be released.

funny thing is that Daron dosen't even have these in the database yet. No prices for 2 weeks. Herpa announced then to us, before the distributer. Nice

We should get these, now that Lybia isn't part of the "Axis of Evil" any longer.

The pic is also washed-out, as per usual with Herpa's photography.

I'll be picking this one up!

I don't know why manufacturer's don't just wait until they get the final models in before they announce anything.

Here's my take on this model. I like the AN-124 and I would like to have one version where the outboard engines don't look like they are touching the ground. I don't think there will be be anybody else releasing this model, so we will have to go with what's available. I would not go by the photo, Herpa likes to take the 1/500 and doctor it up a little and use it to show the 1/400 release, I don't think that it represents the final version. A lot of people have said the last release looked pretty good, but I never saw a picture of it.

Looks like a photo of their 1:500.
Since the Herpa site says the 1:400 will have a RRP of 39.-- Euros... I am hoping this will trigger a GJ release of same in the less than US $30 region. Sorry Herpa.

The Qantas 737-800 that was just released was near perfect IMO. I can't see how they would screw up so bad after that. I think its just the photo

Unless they produced the 1:400 version with the same reg number as their 1:500 version then this is a photo of the 1:500 version. Perhaps Libya has only one An124 in their fleet. I suspect the photo to be of the 1:500 version.

Thumbs up Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:400 Herpa Libyan Air Cargo AN-124-100(K)

The model is not bad...

The printing is not so detailed as on GJ AN-124's but...

the modul is much much better (looks realy more like the original).

Most of all the engines don't touch the ground

Therefore a HW AN-124 with the printing from GJ would be perfect.

Thumbs up Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:400 Herpa Libyan Air Cargo AN-124-100(K)

Sorry, I have to correct myself !

After looking at the pics of the real plan in airliners.net I have to say the printing is pretty good.

First I thought that there was something missing in the green flag or in the red arrows but the original looks like the HERPA model

Therefore I am more than satisfied with it and I have to think about to sell all my old GJ AN-124's.. anyone interested ???
