Unhappy No more aero classics ?

Shoot! Just heard through the grapevine that AC is out of business because the factory booted them! That stinks. First we loose SMA and now AC?

Don't have any in my collection. No space allocated to AC, so its existence / death does not make any difference to me.

I do believe that's known as poetic justice.

Alex going out of business?

I must be in Bizarro World... Defending Alex twice in two days.

I often don't agree with Alex, but I would bet a lot that this rumor is wrong. Alex seems to me to understand the Byzantine ways of doing business in China. Thus I HIGHLY doubt he's out of business.

Alex? You mean, Andrew..

Just to clarify FACT from fiction, there is no truth to AC stopping production of models, or even getting 'booted' from any factory.

In fact Andrew is unroute to the said factory now.

As Todd mentioned, many of the "20 new moulds" will be making their appearance early next year.. the Super VC-10 is already out, and the DC-9 has made an appearance as well.

Expect one the mould to also be released before years end

I would trust what some of the reliable sources say, like Todd, Faheem, etc. For me, I have a few Aeroclassics and love them. Though Andrew sometimes gets on my nerves with his rants, he has a definite niche in this industry and if he were gone there would be a huge loss for the hobby. Whether one likes or dislikes Andrew, he is needed here. Now, how about that Comet!!

Yes, I am not old enough to collect their classics. I am currently only have Philippine & Garuda Indonesia B747-400 from AC. I will be sure to put them on ebay once GJ or other prospective manufacturer releases them.

JB, rather than "getting a beer" shouldn't you find out if this information is correct, and if not, delete this thread?

How old do you have to be? Don't close yourself out to classic aviation. You might really enjoy some of the "older" stuff. Also, it's fun to learn as little or as much as you want about aviation history.

No, because I'm as your own moderators call it I'm a crook assiting in the commission of fraud along with the rest of the owners of DAC and the team members. See the difference is, me unlike you don't need to censor posts. He heard a rumor, and I imagine the community can answer it as necessary which they have done. Not to mention I find it so amusing that Klein is so concerned about those bad bad boys at BlueBox, using the "copy" of the BigBird400 mould that you so adamently said was in 1:420 scale, which was proven wrong. Wouldn't these be the same individuals that got kicked out of the factory? So then if the guys that made the original BigBird400 models got kicked out of the factory and are now in the BlueBox factory then they are making models still using their name right? Yah...continue your spin, it's not wanted here but you can preach to the choir over on your site and continue to trash us for being crooks and helping commit fraud it's all quite amusing. See you're now contributing to the start of a flame war which I predicted hours ago, which is why I will now need that good ol' Virgina moonshine.

a clairvoyant ... who knew …

sorry to disappoint all ya all, but Aeroclassics is not going anywhere ... in fact its future is quite bright. A few of us had dinner with Don (Inflight) and AK in Seattle and from my viewpoint the next 6-12 months looks pretty good for 1:200 and 1:400.

Add to this what Brian will be releasing from Jet-X and some rumored GJs stuff .. we will all be broke.

I just heard that ADI has dropped AC from it's distribution, and is basically selling off inventory like it's a fire sale.

This is just wishful thinking on the part of Andrew Klein's enemies. It is not true. Besides, if AK and Aeroclassics went away people like David Mich would lose their reason for being. By the way, I wonder who SVL1011 really is.

I also heard that several of AC's factory QC people have been fired as well.

SVL1011 is no one under an alias if that's what you're wondering.
