spies at dragon and phoenix

why do dragon and phoenix release almost a identical model at the same time / month . this makes us the buyers either buy the dragon or phoenix release whichever is our prefernce, wouldnt these companys be better off giving us a wider choice / aircraft , livery ... then this would give them surely a larger share of the release,

say dragon release a air paradise a310 and phoenix dont , maybe a year or maybe never later down the years phoenix releases the same model by that time the buyers would have the model the dragon wings and dont need the phoenix unless your a perfectionist and its maybe better or you want both.
or if there releasing different models more choice for us and more money being directed to both companys.

i can find dragon wings future releases well in advance of phoenix.

Except the PIA fancy tails which, I believe, Phoenix got out first.
And the Malaysian Hibiscus B744 and blue Malaysian B777.

PX got the PIA fancy tails out first before DW. but i dont think DW were bothered that PX had did it
