Default Canadian Airlines DC-10-30

Canadian Airlines DC-10-30 "Spirit of Canadian/L'Esprit de Canadien"

A totally different special scheme appeared in July 1993 when Canadian applied enlarged employee signatures all over DC-10-30 N6150Z for a television commercial. In 1995 the process was repeated again when the airline ran a "Name the Aircraft" contest which resulted in DC-10-30, C-FRCE, being named Spirit of Canadian/L'Esprit de Canadien. The signatures of all the employees who entered were then transferred into decal form and a Canadian DC-10 was once again transformed into a signature billboard. On this occasion the aircraft entered service and has been seen all over the Canadian network.

They DUMPED Them IMMEDIATELY!!!
They Had Absolutely No Need For Them. The Acquisition Of The 3 744s To Augment Thier Fleet Of 9 (3 Each, 741, 742,744) Along With Canadian's Abundant 763s And 14 A-320s, It Was More Than Enough For Thier Long Haul Fleet. They Already Had 6 A-340s & Just Finished Taking Delivery Of A Dozen or So A-330s.
Since They Retired Thier 3 Resurrected L-1011s In 1999, There Would Be No Need To Operate High Maintenace Fuel Guzzling -10s.
Then Of Course Before 911 They Disposed Of The 741s & 2s. 744s Followed Post 911 When They Took Delivery Of 2 A-340-500s.
Then They Had a Massive Capaity Shortage & Acqured 763s & Resrrected 10 762s & 737s (From Canadian) From The Desert.
Interestingly Enought, They Augmented & Replaced DC-9s Simultaneously With An Abundance Of Ex-Canadian 737s, Which Now Are All Phased Out & Replaced By A-319s, EMB 175s & 195s

Yes It was, Otavio. And there is REAL Irony To This Story. It was a Model On His Wishlist. Not Just Any Wish. It Has His HOLY GRAIL! ( I Didn't Know. It Was Difficult To Decide Which Model To Give From the 50 Spares I Have)
That's The Plane He Flew On To Europe (Before Going To Russia) To Adopt His First Child.
It Also Fits Within His "Special Livery" Theme.

I also didn´t know that ! What a coincidence !!! I can imagine how happy he was. So actually this model must be in a very special place inside his heart and on his shelf named "model´s I´ve flown on".
