This is another one, I love QF for my fleet as well, but I'll wait for AC release perhaps next year.

Yes the mould is that inferior "BluNutz/C&C" mould!

Isn't it funny though the way Unicorn & Brian (Australia) are silent on this release, instead of plastering the forum with threats and licensing mumbo-jumbo?
I knew he was a phoney!

You make a valid and important observation here, Andrew. I do read the complaints about unlicensed Qantas, as long as it is not a BBBx (Bogus Blue Box) or C and C product. Why no protests?

Now Inflight 200 have Qantas license, it's about time Aeroclassics release some 747-400 in 1:400. Come on Captain Klein, we wait long enough now..... Lead us not into Temptation......

Actually the logo next to the cockpit is the Sydney 2000 Olympic Bid logo - the Opera House Ribbon design that was a sticker placed on all QF aircraft when bidding for the 2000 olympics back in the early 90's. The final logo for the games was a boomerang design which never featured on any QF aircraft I believe but was very prominent on the Ansett 743 and A320 olympic logo jets that flew for some time......as Ansett was the official airline for the games much to QF's displeasure!!

Why do they cost HKD295 (USD37)? The BBX is only USD27. Same mould same features but different box!

I stand corrected.

Ansett was indeed the official airline for the games, and the Opera House Ribbon was the games bid logo.

I should have been clearer in my explanation.

Cheers

Klein,

I am trying very hard not to either let you bait me nor bait you in return.

You do business your way and let others do business their way.

We understand you have issues with the people who produce Blue Box models, and that you feel yours are superior.

Obviously other people are happy to purchase their models as they fill a niche which has not yet been filled.

If you stopped filling thread after thread with exactly the same anti-Blue Box comments, and let your models speak for themselves, your considered comments might attract more attention instead of being skipped over as "yet another tirade against Blue Box".

We understand you don't like them, their principals, their principles, their moulds or the way they do business. We don't need to be reminded of that fact in every thread that even peripherally mentions Blue Box.

Talk about upcoming moulds, new releases, models you admire, your trips to China and Russia, retailers you recommend, aircraft and liveries you hope to do some time in the future, in fact anything but Blue Box.

We get your message, OK, really, we do.

As for licensing, only two companies have a licence for 1;400 scale models in Qantas liveries, and they are Dragon and Gemini.

Obviously therefore Qantas models made by other companies, including this one, are not licensed.
