Default Best Manufacturers?

So I've been reading the comments many of you have been posting with regards to the new releases and I am curious as to what manufacturers you like.
Also I have been told that if you are collecting you should go for limited releases.
Personally I like detail. the more the beter, any recommendations?

Hey Roger! Long time no hear!

Bonsai, you can take a look at (most of) the models available on the www.brinkley.cc site, the www.delftblue.de site, or wings900. That halped me to seperate the good, the bad and the ugly when I started collecting.

Just curious, and maybe some can help you a little more: what do you collect, or intend to? Airframes certain airlines, all you like?

It's not about which manufacturer is the best and you like. This hobby is about which manufacturer can make the model the most accurate in term of mould and livery. Each manufacturer has their own good and bad models. The manufacturer that you don't like may make a more accurate model than the one you like.

Well I live in SLC and have nothing but Delta to look at so I like to collect everything else. I also like the newer airframes and livery..

Well, real nice Deltas are made by Aurora 400 (two 721s on Aeroclassics moulds, and DC10s, on GJ moulds afaik, hard to find, so grab ém while you can), Gemini Jets (tons of planes... evan CV-880s ), MD11 and DC10 by DW (superior imho to GJ as far as these airframes are concerned). SMAC made 737-200s; I personally think they are the best out there. GJs 737-200 widget is also fine. Herpa´s Delta offerings are all a bit older, and imho below par.

However, these are only my opinions, and you should judge for yourself by looking at the websites listed above, or, better yet, at the models themselves.

Mr. A 345 Said It Best. There's Junk With Every Manufacturer & There Are Stunning Beauties Also.

There Are A Few Brands That Continually Make Poor Models On A Regular Basis:
Herpa (Except A Few New Moulds)
Net Models.
Blue Box.
Dragon Propliners & 707s/720s.
