Default New Photos: DW Thai Airways B747-400 Old & New

Both models were produced by Dragon Wings. Which livery do you like more?

Must say I still like the old livery - reminds me of lots of great holidays in Thailand I suppose.... Have just purchased the new DW Thai livery model and a bit disappointed with the lack of care taken in production - seems to be overlap in the stickers on the top of the fuselage where the purple and other colours meet, creating a weird looking stripe. Also, I have noticed that only two of the engines have little blue RRs on the engines - on one side it's the engine closet to the fuselage and on the other side it's the engine furthest away - is this normal or is it another botch up?

I will miss the old livery very much. By the way I also thought that the little blue marking on the engine is missing but the picture on the box tells you only one engine has it printed.

It's hard to say, the old livery suited its time but now in this age many airlines are going for the stripe look and 3/4 letter initials on the front fuselage. e.g. JAL, PIA, UNITED etc...

However, in refrence to your question I would have to say the latest livery, just love that tail

Both are great liveries but I prefer their logo on a white backgound.

The old livery is much more classy and shows off the aircraft's size better. The new livery, while colorful, is really unbalanced.

The previous (white) livery is way better. The color contrast is far superior, and hey, you just can't beat classic cheatlines.
