Got mine a couple of days ago and I am very pleased. I think Dragon did a fantastic job on this release. The finish is just superb.

Yes~~It just arrived in my hands but I have no idea is this model available in HK or not (I am not live in HK) because I got this model from US retailer.

Not bad, but the background makes the aircraft colours look pale red colour rather than dark red like its on the Pheonix model ??

Or Rather High Key.
Over/Under Exposure Indicates An Icorrect Setting On The Camera.
He May Of Intentionally Lightened It In Photoshop To Give A High Key Pastel Look.

My friend went to UML in HKG on the weekend and was told to preorder this and will take up to 3 months to arrive! How can that be???

WOW how come the Phoenix version of the Experience Redefined is already sold out?And if its available, the price had shot drastically?Im aware that the dragon wings version is not that accurate(ie the flying ribbons either too large or misplaced,plus it also sans the white signs near the the mid section). But still I will that phoenix could give the option of removing the landing gears to the collectors.That would be awesome.

Well I Can Only Tel You If You Put Both Models On A Quality Scale I Would Have To Say It Would Be Balanced. The Flower Details In The Dragon Is Slightly Better, But Only Slightly. DW Of Course Has A More Accurate 744 Mould.
But Phoenix Has The Color Of the Titles Correct, Matching the Angelfish Blue In The Tail Logo. DW Titles Are Navy, Leaning Towards Black.

I Saw Both Models Side By side.
Take Your Pick.

You forgotten that the golden ribbons that bacqgrounds the title MALAYSIA is alittle bigger than the real aircraft......also the dragon lacqs some of the hibiscus flower pattern...

Oh, LeaderShip maybe by comparing the current price of the two models side by side will explain which is better...But i just wish that Phoenix have the option of removing the landing gears....sigh

DA.C price in the database is the average of all the price forumers input in their databases. Forumers come from all over the world with different currencies. I am not sure the value entered in everyone database are based on USD or some other currencies. I will tend not to trust the price listed.

Also which manufacturer 9V-SPK and 9V-SPL are you comparing?

I think the DW 9V-SPK (55119B) is still more expensive than the DW 9V-SPL (55119). DW 9V-SPK (55106) is cheaper becasue it is exclusive for in-flight sale. I guess not alot people has it and in-flight sale model are usually cheaper in price when you buy on board the plane. SQ stop selling DW 9V-SPK (55106) on board after SQ006 crashed in Taiwan.

Big Bird 9V-SPK (BB4-2004-03) is also more expensive than their 9V-SPL (BB4-2004-03) in DA.C database.

Golden wings and Herpa did not make the 9V-SPK so I am not going to compare the price.

Im comparing both by dragon wings......but im sure the more accurate one is the SPL thats why maybe its more expensive. I wish SQ would come up with another special colour scheme....they are too bland in the imagination department...Why dont SQ reintroduce the Tropical Megatop again,this time in rememberance of those who died in the crash(they could put the names of those who cherished on the aircrafts,and maybe 20% of the money from that flight could go to charity.Im sure the family of those who died will apprieciate that.With that aircraft flying,it would mean that the airline is honouring those who perished, and people will still remember them in their heart and not forgetting them.RIP.

(9V-SPL & 9V-SPK Were BOTH Inflight Models. Singapore Removed All 9V-SPK Models From All Points Of Purchase, Due To The Taipei Crash. Fate Unknown, But I Bet They Were Destroyed.
With Few Models In The Marketplace & Given the Morbid History Of The Plane, This Model Is Highly Sought After & Expensive.
I Got the Tucrappo 9V-SPL (Which Is The Best Color & Tamp Printing) & The Big Bird (9V-SPK. (The Worst Color Of All 3 Brands, But I'm Glad To Have It.)

SIA and MAS (We used to be one airline) are both celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2007. I hope both airlines will come up with nice anniversary schemes for their planes.

Regarding reintroduce the Tropical Megatop, i doubt SQ will do that. Reintroduction bring back sad memories for the families of those who perished (not only Singaporeans, we have taiwanese, americans, etc) and it also bring back a sad memories to SIA too. Prior to SQ006, SIA has a perfect record. (not counting Silkair MI185 crash).

Titles Being Bigger? By Side They Looked The same. Only The Color Was Different.
The Dragon Also Had Better Detail In The Hibiscus. But Only Slightly. Other Collectors At The Shop Agreed.
I Didn't Get This Model. But If I Did, It Would Be a Tough Decision As I Really Like The Lighter Blue Titles On The Phoenix Trouble Is, I Don't Like The Mould.
