Default New Photos: DW Thai Airways A340-500 NC

I'll choose DW for the A340-500 when compare with GJ. (The nose on GJ version is too round.)The purple on the real DW model looks correct to me although it turns blue under the flash. I think the main difference between DW and GJ is the colour of the Horizontal Stabilizer. DW has it in purple but GJ has it in normal light grey. Who is correct???

Mine is "on the way". Looking forward to having one of the newer "Eurowhite" concepts. The 744 is also looking sharp from DW.

I always think the mould of the A345 & A346 is the most advanced among the Herpa, GJ, etc!

The engines lack of details on DW airbus mould as usual. Thats one reason why I like GJ better.

This photo shows the horizontal stabilizer is NOT in purple before delivery in March. So I believe it must have been painted later to suit the airline's image color.

The horizontal stabilizer on the Gemini model is painted grey. The sample doesn't have it like that, though, but this was stated in the thread about its release.

Default Purple Rain....

So...if one wants the DW and GJ; both airplanes are correct (if the reg numbers correspond).

The pink in the stripe and tail logo is a little too pink IMO.

Nice pics MR CX,

Is it possible to take some photographs of this model w/o flash mode or in natural light to see the true colours of the A345.

Thanks

The stabs were purple from the factory on all of them, the photo kl729 posted simply has the sun reflecting on them--look closely, the h.stab looks rather "lavender". Every other photo clearly shows purple stabs on all their n/c planes.

And Aviatorisu said the GJ release will have purple stabs.

For me I'm watching to see how the fuselage is painted. The fuselage should be overall VERY pale grey, but the aft fuselage stripe is pure white. DW has the overall fuselage white, and GJ has the fuselage overall Airbus grey that matches the wings. The fuselage should be a very pale grey, much lighter than the wings.

Airliner/Airways....one of the two; just did an article on Thai's new bus. The stabs are purple in the pics.

I Will Disagree. The Nose & Cockpit Is Always Far Better Than Gemini. Also The Wing Fairing Is Supposed To Be Blistered Outwards From The Fuselage AND Has A Seam Where It Meets The Fuselage.
Gemini Opted To Flatten The Blister Smooth, Making It Fush With The Fuselage. WRONG. AND They Forgot To Put The Seam.
Dragon Got It Right. So Did Herpa. One Final Feature Gemini Missed. At The Trailing Edge Of The Wing There Is A Strake Of Sorts Attatched To The Wing Fairing, Of Course Running Longitudinal Of The Fuselage.
Again, Dragon Didn't Miss It.
