Question British Caledonian MD-11; Anyone interested?

I can not longer hold this to myself anymore. It have became too much for me to hold.

If there is an available of Custom-make service by such as metal wing company being offer. (I do not know who would do that at this time.) As long if the price is within reasonable range. (ie: similar as regular release price)

I know that one would consider as a fanasty but dang that British Airway if they did not buy out British Caledonian out and this would have became into reality as B.CAL was the first launch order for this airframe.

I gotta to bring up this issue whether anyone would be interested to buy British Caledonian MD-11 if I can find one to make in between 50- 125 qtys and plunk down my owm money. I may want to keep a dozen myself but to clean the rest of it off my shelf.

If interested, Please post and be specific which one you would like to see:

1) Like real metal belly and wings
2) Just the same one that GJ allready released the DC-10. (Not real metal belly)

3) Do you wish to have B.CAL logo on the wingtip of an MD-11 to replicate the tail livery?

As I research the prospal engines and apparently B.CAL went for GE engines. If I am wrong, Please provide source if they actually option other engine than GE?

4) Engine #1 and # 3 cover color? Gray? Silver? White? or what would you suggest as the MD-11 is modern than the DC-10 and probably not the same color shade on as wore on the DC-10. "B.CAL" on it?

I can not promise if that would ever happen. Hopefully someone will change the require minimum qtys one day......

Please be honest as I do not want my fixed income going in toilet for nothing as this is a hobby-purpose. (Thanks)

This is a "test" to see whether there is any interest collector(s) that would like to see this to happen before I start sweat my underarm trying to find someone to do such in next few years from now....... (What kind of decorant y'all recommend me for this job? )

Although I love the MD-11, I would not be interested in this model since it never really flew in commercial service.

However, I would be interested in the new colors of Martinair and Thai produced by anyone other than Phoenix.

I'd certainly buy a BCal MD11, the "what should have been" variety of fantasy model is the sort of fantasy model I'd love to collect Also a BA MD11 working on the fantasy that if the BCal MD11's had been delivered then they'd have ended up in BA colours.

Some others I'd like;

BEA L1011 (and I'd love the NON fantasy BEA/EAL hybrid L1011!)
SQ MD11
ANA A340

Speaking of "What should have been?" A B-Cal A320 would have been a nice livery too, had BA not gobbled them up just after they placed the order with Airbus.

Can't help thinking they'd be flying A340-600's and placing deals for A380's by now where they still around ? If Braniff fans can get all these fantasies, why can't us B-Cal fans get them too ?

With time you will get better on your reading. JJ is a leyend/icon in this forum. We do not judge/question him. Try reading my notes, that would make you appreciate Mr. JJ posting.
