Default NW DC-10 Diverts to Tehran

Can yu believe a NW DC-10 diverted to Tehran airport today. It was the first US visit of an American Airliner since 1979. It was there for 8 hrs because of technical issue within the cargohold flying from India to Amsterdam. I wish I could have been on that flight as it would have been awsome because as you all know I am a totally f**ked up bizarre US citizen, and getting to see that airport and its aircraft would have been incredible. I definately would have dropped my drawers given the opportunity! I'm sure some a**hole will sue NWA saying they put their life in jeoperday going there versus the risk of a longer flight to a safer haven....

I know this belongs in another section but hardly anyone ever goes there.

Thumbs up Count me in!

I read that news! The only little-struggle there was over buying fuel. As problem have been solved and allow NWA to fly out. Dang it! I wish that I could have meet Saddam and that Iran ******* president. A picture three of us! Dang it!

Anyway, Is this a sign of possible rekindling relationship between U.S. and Iran?

Oh By the way, How do those Iranian people that had saw NWA fly over their head or saw it on their soil reacted?

Hey Russ, if you coulda done that, and had it been anything like the gathering back in 2002, they would have just given them the gas & they would have been gone in 2 maybe 3 hours tops. And I also would have liked to be there as well, so I could have snapped the pic to post here!

The United States does not need to deal with another hostage situation as a result of one your "wardrobe malfunctions."

Say hello to my sweetheart for me, she lives in Teheran

If someone invites you, you can go. For instance, I would have to meet her parents before we decide anything serious - a tradition. I would much rather we meet someplace like Istanbul, though.

this is no joke!
