I was wondering why AeroClassics.net is rarely updated. It seems that they went from AeroClassics.info to AeroClassics.net and ever since they did that they rarely update the site. They don't always have photo's of new releases as well as they don't always post all of their new releases. It seems like all other model companies keep their websites up to date. I even tried to send them an e-mail on their feedback form and that would not even go through. Any one have any insight on this?

One of the principals of the SMA also is involved professionally as web hosting design and maintenance. At one time, there was an arrangement between Aeroclassics and this SMA principal to maintain the original Aeroclassics URL: Aeroclassics.info. When this arrangement ceased, Aeroclassics had to establish its own website that itself would be responsible for operating and maintaining...Aeroclassics.net.
But I don't have a clue as to the Aeroclassics' practices keeping its site current...but the regular maintenance of the 'site' noticeably changed when this change between the URL's occurred.

I kinda miss the historical info of the old site. It had pictures, release dates, production numbers etc of early releases, like the Viscounts, VC10s, Caravelles, DC-6s that Brinkley doesn't have on his valued site.

If there is any relationship between having a nice website and going out of business then I'd rather have the reverse.
My guess is that Andrew Klien's list of prioritys has website design and update somewhere below model production, quality control, shipping and receiving, accounts payable and receiveable, family time, traveling to China and trade shows, battling with dorks on the forums, I guess a guy can only do so much in a day. There were three times as many employees involved with SMA than there are involved with AC and yes they had a nice website but remember...they also have not had any new releases to put on that nice website in over two months.
I remember they had all their aircrafts listed on the above web link, where did they all go ???

I don't understand why you tell me or others on this post to get a life...The bottom line is that when you go to a company's website you expect to see their products on their website. You should not have to go to a third-party website to view a list of all of their products.

What it boils down to is expectations. You expect to see company product when you go to a website. Todd, on the other hand, expects to find that same information at one of three places. Brinkley website, 400 Scale Hangar, and Wings 900. Some company place a high priority on their website to promote their product, others do not. I suspect that Andrew Klien realizes that his product is getting sufficient enough exposure without him having to maintain an active website himself. He does not depend on his website to sell his product and he does not depend on his website to promote his business. Others do those things well enough for him.
All of AeroClassics new product can be found either here or at 400 SH forum when it it released. Every photo is there. A number of people try to get various photos of the new AC products to the point that no one should go wanting for photos of those products. Perhaps then the AC website becomes redundent.

Plausible...but an odd offering of an explanation nonetheless. Also it would be more credible if it was coming from Mr. Aeroclassics himself rather than a close friend speaking form him...because it is just conjecture.
But I don't want to get into any debate as to how Aeroclassics does its business affairs. I really don't care because like you said, there are many venues to find out about the new issues, including models. But from my perspective it still seems odd that the website isn't maintained...but hey...it's like licensing...who really cares...right?

Now that you ask. If you consider it good then I picked up an AeroClassics Tu-154 Aeroflot with the Olympic titles the other day. I think it is a good find. Only 100 were made and it completed the trio set for me, the Federation flag, the Soviet flag, and now the Olympic title.
Also I recently aquired the Aurora 400 United 727. The polished belly really makes it stand out. Also, it is not a model airplane but rather a model hangar. I am very proud of it. See photos.
I posted a bit ago that AC Tupolov and and 767 in Aeroflot are cool models...too bad I never noticed them before! Sometimes that happens with me...I miss a model because I wasn't interested in it at first and then when I see it again I notice it. The Aeroflots are such examples.
You're hangar is superb...a good diorama is something lacking in my collecting. It appears you managed to pick up a couple of noteworthy 'accessories' that really set it off! They are nice!

Well it's not my loss, but rather theirs that they don't have the common decency to reply to enquiries which could net them quite a bit of business. I have now taken it elsewhere.

Yes, the Bates Boyz keep cranking out those AlohaBlue models. I really like them. I have the 767 and the A340 so far. I have the A380 on order and now it appears that I need to get the 744. I am after them to change the name of their little fantasy airline to "Mahalo" because I think the AlohaBlue is to close to Aloha. But when dealing with those Pog-aholics anything is possile. PoyAir perhaps?

If you want to buy from someone in the vacinity of the AeroClassics location I can recommend Jetway Models. Nick has a complete line of AeroClassics at some of the best prices going. As does EzToys, JetCollector, Paradigm, Adams Jets, SkyJets400...all of them are easy to find and to establish a nice customer/dealer rapport with. All of those mentioned are direct product from AeroClassics and the prices would be about the same as if you bough them from CAM, AeroClassics retail arm, any way.

Good for you...I have been looking at these forums now for about 4 months and signed up myself in May. One thing that I have learned is that AK (Owner of Aero Classics) thinks he is god of the 1:400 scale models market and bashes every new model manufactures that come onto the market. It surprises me that he can reply to everything on these forums but cannot even answer e-mails that are sent to him on his website. And ever since he changed it from aeroclassics.info to aeroclassics.net the feedback button does not even work. Don't get me wrong his models are of good quality and I have 4 of them myself but I really don't understand his true business practice.
