Ok, man, I've been waiting for my BB 500 invoice so that I can match it to my Herpa 500 invoice. Here is what I now know about it. If I exercise my normal mark up on both products the retail price in my store will be the same for both. Realisticly the BB should be lower but my product for BB goes through one more middleman before for it gets to me than does the Herpa. Hence the same price to me for both. But in reality if I were to buy BB direct the price would be lower than Herpa. It is like I said...this higher price perception that you rightly have is occuring at the retail level and not at the factory or at the manufacturer level. That is what Andrew Klien was trying to establish.
I just wanted to let you know it. Regards. Goldy Last edited by goldy; 04-23-2005 at 09:01 PM. |

If you say they are the same at invoice, I believe you. I noticed Jetway Models finally put them up and they are priced 50 cents over the Herpa 707. If Andrew Klein, was trying to establish that, then he could have said that, which he didn't. So since I'm not one to run from the truth, BigBird is now priced competitively with Herpa with their prices at certian retailers running within the pricing for Herpa. My kudos to BigBird for lowering their prices.
