Default Dragon Singapore Airlines B777-312 is out already!

Saw the pictures on the Dragon website. It's funny - all the new B777-300s by Dragon are missing that black stripe on the wings. I wonder what purpose they serve?

Isnīt that black stripe supposed to be a visual aid whether the plane needs de-icing or not?

Even thought the web had just listed out, is that mean we can get it in the shops already? Can someone finds out whether is available in Universal Model shops in Hong Kong already or not?

Not yet but there are bound to be photos of the model already posted in the shop and eventually when they have them in stock it will be accompanied by a price. I will check UML this weekend.

The GJ mould would be a nicer model I think.
Bought 2 DW 773's and they are ok but not as good as the GJ's.
Oh well.

Dragon's previous B777-300 releases (the real early releases) had that black stripe. I wonder why they left out this detail? Cutting costs?

Yeah I noticed that this model didn't have that dark gray strip on the wings. I wonder why this is. The nose still looks a little pointy too.

I Disagree. The DW Cockpit Windows Are 1200 Percent Better. If You Ask me DW, BB, Sovereign & Aeroclassics Are THE ONLY Manufacturers That Pay Attention To This Very Important Detail.

Good Point, Ansett! DW Is FAMOUS For Paying Attention To Such Small Unimportant Paint Details. They Oft Use It As An Excuse To Make Re-Releases.
Just look At The Recent Re-Release Of The 340-5 With The Leadersip Titles Removed!(Which I Think looks gaud Awful)

Here Is A Pic Of The Real Deal With Absolutely NO Wing Marks At All.They Will Likely Release This One Too If They Discover It.

Hey there L-1011-Heavy,

U made a mistake. That pic is of a B777-200. -200s don't have that marking, only -300s.

Another Good Point.
I Was Unable To Find A Pic Of The -300 With An Overview Of The Wing.
Recent Developments At Singapore Suggest That there Is A Possibility That
The De-Icing Marks Might Have Been Removed.
Dragon Oft Looks For Just Such Small Changes For An Excuse To Release A Different Version.
However They Are Not Always Right.
I Will Keep My Eye Out On Thay One.

Perhaps Some Decals Would Satisfy You? You Can Also Easily Pait At Least The De-Icing Marks.

That Pic Is From Fall Last Year. Old In The Scheme Of Things. This Is Likely A Very Recent development. And Not Necessarily The ENTIRE Fleet Had Them Removed. Perhaps 1 Or Two? Or Mabe Still There. Just Speculating.
They Did Not Remove The Leadership Titles From The Entire Fleet Of 340-5s Yet. Things Like This Are Never Done All At Once.
