I've seen no improvement on DW lately; regression yes, improvement, no!

The only improvement I noticed is the correct outline where the wings are attached under the belly. This is the correct representation on all airbuses. It used to be only GJ who has the correct mould. DW now has the similar mould for their new SQ A345 but that part of the belly is plastic which makes the model a lot lighter.

Probably the best upgraded Dragon would have to be their Boeing 377 mould. The first one was a little rough to say the least, but if you have picked up the "officially licensed" Pan Am Stratocruiser, it is a wonderful model. Dragon are often accused of doing nothing, but when they take the lead and make a great new mould, they still get bashed. I guess you can have it both ways.

If the C5 Galaxy is the sign of a model company in decline then DW's older models must have been more than perfect
Along with the Herpa A340-500/600 I'd rate the C5 as the best mould currently available in 1/400, and the revised B377 is superb,Justin |

Justin, you and Herb have shown undying loyalty towards DW for many years. I commend you on that trait; loyalty is hard to find anywhere these days.
I just happen to be of the opinion that their models are sub-par, and not "collectable". There are a few exceptions, notibly their C-5, B-29, MD-80, MD-11, & DC-10. But this is just a hobby, so I wish those like you and Herb, all the joys of collecting DW, as much as I enjoy collecting GJ, Herpa, AC, & BB.

I will always give credit when due, and I thought the DW B-29 was a fine effort, so much so, I purchased one.

I am indeed a DW supporter
I would never claim they were perfect though, they've made a fair few stinkers over the years, the first generation Airbus models were less than great, the Westjet 737-200 a total stinker that was just aweful and the connie let down by the worst landing gear ever seen in 1/400. However they've also made some superb models and when they get it right they get it very right, their MD8X,MD11 and DC10 moulds are old now but still as good as almost anything in the scale and the C5 just fabulous, they've also made some wonderful military models like the military 707 variants. No company in the hobby has either a monoploly on stinkers or diamonds and I just think DW deserve much more recognition for the great models they've made,Justin |

I Believe You Are Talking About The Fairings At The Wingroot. None Of The Narrowbodies, A-300 Or 310 Have This. Also The A-300 Or 310 Do Not Have A "WingBox" On The Underbelly. |

Currently Aeroclassics, Big Bird, Sovereign, & SMA Are My Fave, But DW Is Still Tops In My Books. Although They Make A Lot Of Disappointing Stuff Of Late. Many Of Thier Models Are Superb, But NO ONE Comes Close To Thier DC-10 Or L-1011! Check This Pic I Took Of DW Phillipines! No Model To Date Looks This Real!. |

Loyalty Comes From Quality. I Am A Die Hard Fan Of Your Models As I Am With DW, Big Bird, Aurora, Green Box, And Dare I Say It...SMA ( Which I Believe You Were Responsible For Thier 737) Loyalty Is A Two Way Street, And Your Models Are Deserving Of Loyalty. Just A Few Short Years Ago I Merely Dreamed Of Many Models That I Thought That Would NEVER Be Produced. But Thanks To You Many Of Them Have Come To Fruition. What Comes Immediately To Mind Are The 3-Reeve L-188s And 2-727s, A Whole Bunch Of 767s, All The CP-Air 37 & 27s, And Near 30 Other Propliners. And Of Course an EL AL 747 (I Bought All Six!) My Knees Knock Everytime I Anticipate New Releases From You. Though Many Dragon Models Are Excellent, The Past Year Has Been Very Dissappointing From Them And I No Longer Get That same Feeling When I Look On Thier Website.
