Hmm...what's with all the Luftwaffe models? Although it looks decent...I am absolutely sure that there are more interesting liveries out there. Pan Am and Swissair are a start though...come on DW, give us a consistent stream of models instead of this one a month BS.

Well... It is a decent looking model. I might have to add this to the military shelf. Hmmm???

I'm philosophical: if these Luftwaffe releases build the 1:400 market in Germany, it can only be a good thing in the long run.

I like those new colors much better than those on the one recently released by Herpa.

But probably I won't get it anyway.

Thumbs down

Not for me as I don't really do military subjects, though I might pick up one if it was in the Canadian Military c/s,the A310 looks great in that dark grey

I'm still not sure about the nose on this model,i'll have to wait until my Pan Am 313 arrives this week to get a real feel for it.

Thinking of a custom...what are the engines on those Luftwaffes.... (and are they correct ones?)
I guess if they wan to be accurate the mould makers are thinking of engine/livery combos as well.

while I am not 100% sure ...

this model: 10+21 is the equivalent of Air Force 1 ... for the German Premiere ... while the Herpa model: 10+22 is a normal Luftwaffe transport aircraft.

thus this model has the name of the German Republic on it and the national colors (stripes) and the Herpa is just blue with Luftwaffe titles.

Still, it's a pretty lame release IMO. Something original would've been nice - even the Canadian Military 310...

Is it just me or does the cockpit printing look better on this than the Pan Am A310?

I do agree a Royal Jordanian, Air Portugal, or CSA A310 would of been a better choice. But at least it's different from the Herpa Luftwaffe release.

I might get this, Im not sure yet.

Gordon...you are right and not:

the shemes of two Airbus 310 of Luftwaffe were changed to the new black/red/gold cheatline this year.
Both are now in use for goverment VIP transport.

before changing this in 2003 some of the Airbusses had the blue Cheatline civil colours and some of them had military grey.
The civil colours were used for goverment VIP and also military transport.

In the moment we have all three colour versions.

So just take the Dragon release as new colours and the Herpa release as old colours.
