Default Shops in Boston

Hi guys,

I'll be in Boston next week (18-21/11/03) and I would like to visit some of the local shops. Any suggestions?
Don't worry Zareh, I'll leave some money for you as well

I think somone had disscussed this topic not long ago. According to my experience, I didn't find any model shop in downtown during two weeks stay.

I was there in December of 2002 and am still jealous of the bastards who live there. Fan-bloody-tastic city.

I think there are three shops in the Boston area, none of which offer a great selection though. I'll try find the details.

EDIT : Seems like I am wrong. Check it : http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...ton+AND+shops.

Boston Logan Int. kicks as s. I loved that giant sissor eagle symbol on the AA end terminal pier.

Fun city as well. Hopefully all the intercity freeway construction that I remember is done ...

It's called "The Big Dig" you dumbfukc.

And it's not due for completion until like 2010, I think.

seems like it's going to be a cheap holiday! I guess I'll have to spend my money on clothes then. If anybody wants to meet up for a drink in the evening, pm me before monday morning, and we'll set something up.

Cool Hello from Boston

Hi airbelgium.

I am from the Boston area. Quite frankly there are not really good model stores in the city. There is one about 20 to 25 miles north west of the city called Hobby Emporium in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. That's the best store I've seen so far in this whole area. What brings you to Boston? If there is anything I can be of assistance let me know like where to go or visit, where to eat, etc.

Eddy Two:

The Big Dig is almost completed. The north bound lanes of US Interstate 93 (I-93) are opened and I-90 (also known as the Mass Turnpike) is finally connected to Logan Airport via the Ted Williams Tunnel which runs under the Boston harbor. Also, the former I-93 north bound lanes which ran through the Central Artery in the city has been torn down. The south bound lanes of I-93 are projected to open sometime next year or in 2005.

You can check the website at www.bigdig.com

Take care guys!

Julio

I was totally amazed at how close Logan is to the city. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Logan Airport when I was in BOS and the "cab" only took about 7 minutes to get to the city!!! Course, you wait about 10 mins to get through the tunnel and to Quincy, but it's still a fast journey!!!

Gonna be made all the better when the dig is complete though!

Hello Eddy:

It seemed you came when winter was not that good last year .

The best times to visit the city is definitely during late spring or late summer (most summers gets too hot and humid) or fall during the foliage.

Gonna be made all the better when the dig is complete though!

I really hope so!

If you happened to come by this area again let me know and, if you wish, I'll be more than happy show you more of Boston and beyond.

Take care!

Julio

Hi Jstar,

Sounds nice! if you can give me some pointers as to what I really should visit, or a nice restaurant or anything like that. I'm staying in town, and using public transportation for my movements so...
I'll also be going to the Celtics game on 19/11 as I got some lastminute tickets. Any assistance with anything most welcome
