Well that news just about breaks my heart. I don't mind if I have to wait for the big bad Delta 880, it may not be the first off the line, but it will certainly be the best!

I am hopeful for both the Golden Crown and Widget liveries, they are going to look awfully good together. You know it really does not matter what livery it is, anything that went on an 880 looked pretty darn good!

Will the first one be a Cathay, then? AND, is it safe to assume that we WILL NOT see the Convairs before Christmas?

Did CX flow Convair?! I didn't know this. Thanks jetstar for the info.

I hope Andrew K. will produce CX Convair CV-880 in Cathay Pacific's ooc (old old c/s).

(But my most wanted are still TWA CV-880 and AA CV-990!)

I can wait at bit longer for the Convairs as long as the 990's engines will have the correct size.

BTW: Cathay oc 880 would look brilliant next to my AC/BB, arrrhhh "mystery manufacturer" CX 707s!!

Paitence has its rewards! Hoping for American CV-990, Delta CV-880...

Nothing quite like a big, beautiful, CX'y Cathay 880!

Bring 'em on!

These models were delayed for over a year because the moulds did not meet Andrew Klein's high standards. I expect that an announcement as to the first 880s and/or 990s is very close.

I was prepared to wait until hell froze, as long as I knew Andrew Klein and his high standards would bring us the first of the Convair jets!

If I can't have a Delta 880 for the Inaugural Flight, how about a Golden Nugget in honor of my hometown. Would that be cool with everyone for starters???

I have been bugging Andrew for a Delta CV880 in the crown livery. My understanding is that while it is not at the head of the line it isn't far back.

Ken,

If Andrew is able to get that paint scheme "spot on," that model is going to be so sss-weeeet, it will fly back to Hotlanta all by itself!

Man, I am supremely hopeful.

I'm with you. A Delta CV880 (crown livery of course) is the first 4-engine jet I ever flew. Atlanta to Houston (and back) in 1968. It was a real beauty.

If the 880 is an AeroClassics, I will bet my right nut, the first one will be the Alaska Golden Nuget!

Lanica, would really be awesome, as would both the Northeast CV880 and 990. I really really want a Swissair too!

American had a bunch, 21 I believe but they weren"t in service very long. They were all 990"s, I dont know how many 880's TWA had.
Some ideas for 990 Spantax and Modern Air.

I would like to see AAL 990 and TWA 880 first release !!!
