Default Wingtip antennae problems with BB400 and AC 747s

Just received my BB400 Seaboard World 747 and once again the wingtip antennae was broken. Does anybody think the bilster pack should be altered to prevent this for happening so often? Maybe having more space between the model and the packaging would prevent this from happening. Whatta you guys think?

I have almost all BB releases and never had anything broke.

If it ever happened I'd just return to the dealer for a replacement.

I have 6 BB/AC 747 classics and 2 (IB and Seaboard) arrived with broken antenna (both on the port sides). I would hope that BB would look into this.

My BB Seaworld antennae was also broken on arrival.

I broke the other one to even it out, but it's a shame because the wing tip antennae give those 747s a nice distinguished look.

Default I agree !

I have received two with broken antennae, unfortunately it was the Iberia 742 and the Seaboard too. Does anybody know if any type of glue would help rather then send the model back to the dealer?

My IBE 742 arrived fine, but if it breaks a little super glue and sandpaper will fix it up fine.

This issue is one of the hazards of having a more accurate model reproduction made in small scale. If you don't want them to break off then the antennas would have to be twice as thick - might look funny but wouldn't be that bad IMO.

FWIW, if a dealer sends out a undamaged model and the package is mishandled and uninsured then the new owner of that model is now responsible for fixing the problem.
