Question Question for ANTHONY F DUVA JR

Question for our expert on antique models!!

ANTHONY

There is an e-bay auction (Item # 3121394193) offering a Convair 880 1/400 scale manufactured by BACHMANN. Can I ask you a few questions about?

1. Any feedback about BACHMANN.
2. Which kind of material the model was made?
3. Is it a trully 1/400 scale?
4. Do you know if this model have extended landing gears?
5. Any additional information you could provide about.

Saudações

Default I have one

I have a 1:400 Bachman TWA Convair 880. It's a good model, made of course of plastic. It has retracting landing gear. It fits relitavely well into my collection, for the era when it was built.

I have this model too in about the same condition, minus the baggie.

One more thing: the wheels and struts are black plastic, and the decorations are on clear plastic tape.

The plane is modelled correctly, although the painting on the box top is all wrong - it looks like some member of the 707 family.

Price range should be about $7-$12. Look out for heat warping the plastic wings!

Exclamation $54.54 at e-bay, now!!

Thank you Anthony, very illustrative, specially about the price range. There are 17 bids at the e-bay auction.
