Default American Airlines, Turbine problem...

Just a hypothetical, of what can and has happened in the past to some aircraft engines...

This doesn't really make much sense to me but I like the picture nevertheless.

Hypothetical; of that aircraft number and airline with the turbine problem, to have -never really- happened. However, this problem has happened before to other aircraft, possy...

This isnt some counter culture activity, it's just realism I show. The picture, to me, isnt really of the airplane in total blowing up. It's a turbine problem, from the right engine. Your dismay leads me to believe - rendering aircraft problems still come as a shock to some people. Take care-

Hey if the plane lands safe that is what matters.

Thumbs up Nothing but admiration

AA311AA --

Kudos to you for trying to enter some realism into our fantasy world!!

As unpleasant as accidents and mishaps are in real life, I think it gets our realm one step closer to real life and I admire you for it!

Interesting picture. But at the risk of being labeled a nit-picker, it looks like the damage is to the fan and compressor section of the engine and not the turbine section. The turbines are located towards the rear of the engine.

A question for the savvy posters: What is the reason that RR fully ducts their RB-211's. Is it only for noise reduction or is there some type of performance advantage?
