Default Who wants this A340?

Since Gemini Jets has just released their first A340 and it's the first airline in North America to operate this aircraft, I thought, how 'bout the second airline in North America who flew the 340?

The second airline would be Canada 3000. Although they did not fly it for very long, it was a very beautiful looking plane.

Please share your thoughts,
Faheem

PS: Heres a picture of it:

That would be a great second choice.

Yeah, OK.
Even though C3 shafted me, I kinda miss them, bring it on.

I'll pass on this one...
I'm happy with Air Canada and right now.
Nothing against Canadian carriers, but there are just too
many Canadian models floating around these days...
I want some variety of airlines.

Every Canadian subject release is an instant `buy' decision for me. Saves me having to paint one up myself (in 2013 at my rate).

Geminiman, I would hope that we don't even have to post that! It should be assumed by GJ/DW!

Being that the A/C one is on the way (YAY!), I guess the next most wanted one - judging from what's been said here - would be an Olympic A343.

As for Canadian carriers, we are really fortunate to have what is out there, but there are still no Air Transat models . . . and Gemini could do an A330 with a few adjustments to their new A340 . . . hint hint . . .

Absolutely Sgt! All Canadian releases are a no-brainer buy, particularly the Air Transat. To second Niels, the BWIA and Air Jamaica should be an automatic assumption--no discussion required. The sooner the better (by Christmas??)

And Iberia....HELL-LLO! Yes to any of the missing Iberia's out there--at this point I'd take ANY airframe a manufacturer put out in the Iberia colors.

Hello Piarco,

I think Aeroclassics has something for you in the works... I saw a sample three weeks ago.

Cool! Maybe it'll be the Caravelle?? But that's only a start. We need more Spanish and Canadian releases!

I'd rather have these A340's done by Dragon Wings! The A340 Gemini made has a terrible looking nose, they made it way to pointy.

Excuse my French, but how the *** do you know? The model hasn't been released yet so you obviously haven't had a chance to see one yet. The photos that have been posted, meanwhile, have extreme shadows on the nose which Steven De Lisser clearly pointed out.

"Pointy??"

Of all the 340s in the world, this would be at the bottom of my pile. It just doesn't tickle my fancy any.

I would rather see (as mentioned above)

Bee Wee
LAN Chile
Sri Lankan

and hell, throw in Royal Brunei while we're at it!

From the photo I've seen it looks like they got the nose of the A340 wrong.

Niels--NOTHING is for granted. I mean, you'd think DW would have made TWA or Air Tran with the 717, or that GJ would have made CO/TW/NW/US with their 727..... So BWIA certainly isn't for granted. (Though it would be great)

Very nice! IB sure sampled almost every airframe didn't they? Must confess to have a soft spot for the oc "globe" version first (cheatline, baremetal & globe ), although the newer livery is nice too. Wouldn't mind an A319 that to my knowledge only flies into their MIA hub.
