I envision (hope) it'll be something like this:

At 11:59PM, Dec 24th, there will be an post on DAC titled "Merry Christmas". It'll have pics of a 1/400 DL 880 and AA 990, and be signed "Santa Klein". Failing that, it'll be a AA 707 or something.

Andrew, the God of Diecast, assures us that 880s and 990s are coming. The mould is probably being made and perfected as we speak. I suspect that these models are going to be beyond fabulous. It will be worth the wait I'm sure.

Elvis dead? Bullsh*t, The King lives, he just works as a short order cook at a truck stop just off I-35W in Cleburne, Texas. He does a mean eggs and hash.

Convair dead? Bullsh*t as well. Trust me. I'll even take you to Cleburne to see The King.

All good things in good time, young grasshopper.

Thumbs up I've been to the other side of the mountain,

and I've seen the 880 mould!!! Pure white, and sooooooo beautiful. Patience is a virtue, and these aircraft will be worth the wait, trust me!!!

Talking Khanuka

It won't be from Santa Klein on the 24th but from Rabbi Klein on the eve of Khanuka

Thumbs up TWA, DL, AA, NE, SPANTAX... some of the GREATEST retros EVER!

I will be in retro heaven when these 880's and 990's start rolling off the line and into our homes! If these are as good as ALL of the other AC MkII molds have been, they are going to cause eyes to POP!

And if you ever have to defend your collection, you don't need martial arts training, just chuck the ULTIMATE throwing star, a 990, armed with the pointiest nose ever and Kuchemann Carrots!

Kuchemann Carrots, they're good for the eyes. Especially if those carrots were in a shade of yellow and went by the name of Flagship Rita.

I have a major problem with Andrew's plans for the CV-990. When discussing the subject of liveries, I said that one of the most important for me would be Denver Ports of Call. He didn't seem keen.

So now we need to lobby Andrew for a DENVER PORTS OF CALL Convair 990.
