Default New Gemini Jets Hints in 1:400

Very Astonishing to see no one put this in Yet..

Rechecked and here we go .

Lets ponder over the Hints ...

1)Recently revealed in a shade of blue, we hope you will like it because its brand new.
#2) A Retro livery has been thought as long gone, you can get this one much like a song.
#3,#4) A Brazilan wonderjet this month times two, one comes in SIlver, one comes in blue.
#5) The first of its kind did recently reveal, its future siblings will come from Mobile.
#6) The French need something to cheer, one must wonder if this would go better with a beer?
#7) Fleet builders will stand and rejoice, everyone else will wonder why all the noise?
#8). Could this be the model of the year?, if you think so make your vote count by saying here, here.
#9) The Flying Banana is something to see, but if you fly it, I doubt you will be saying whoopee!
#10) The grandest of airliners, this certainly would be, tis a pity she won't fly these colors in civilian duty.

GeminiMAC
#1) This brand new tooling will look great in your room, let us hope it's never used for its purpose of Doom.

Hope to see some good ones ...

Regards
Karan

Hope the second one is the TWA-liveried American 738.

I sure hope its a B-52. That'd be awesome.

But something tells me it's the E4 Dooms Day plane.

Weird yes but not untypical, but it could also be an American Airlines retro 738...

No 2) is a Boeing 767-300 Condor (retro livery) - Song: El Condor pasa

No 3) and 4) are ERJ 190 KLM (like Big Al said) and a Niki (FlyNiki). Its all silver with giant fly painted on their noses. Either D- or OE-registration is possible.

The rest no clue.

Gemini MAC is a B-52 which is nice but which I don't need as my Herpa B-52 in 1:200 is almost perfect.

Except for #5 being JetBlue, I'd have have bet heavily on #3 or #4 being a JetBlue E-190 (they hinted at this a couple of months ago). However, if form holds true, it's unlikely we'll see two JetBlue releases in a single month. So you are probably right re: KLM.

*Sigh* still no E-190 from North America.

Btw, I agree with those who say the Gemini MAC is an Airborne Command Post E-4B, or, a P-8 Poseidon. Applying Occam's Razor this makes the most sense.

Based on the predictions so far, I will probably preorder the Icelandair, and try to catch up on previous month's releases.

The optimist in me thinks it could be an American and Air Canada E-190 . . .

I'm afraid that you may be right on the MAC. Personally I'm no fan of the E-4 but love the B-52. The B-52 has been used in combat (obviously) however does this E-4 count as new 'tooling?' Do they alter the 747-200 mould itself?

It was the 'new tooling' that made me go for the B-52 guess rarther than another variant of the 747 mould. Maybe they ought to have said 'new mould' ? As often requested, the B-52 would be an ideal 1:400 candidate and a no brainer in terms of liveries and paint schemes. I guess we'll find out soon enough, how many 'new toolings' of the 747-100-200 have Gemini done now anyway ?

I'd also be thrilled if it was a B-52.

By the way, do we know for sure if this is a 1/400 release and not a 1/200 release?

...I agree, an E-4B wouldn't necessarily be "all new" tooling. On the other hand, Revell released an E-4B in 1/144; maybe these companies are all looking at the same market research, and what seems redundant to us makes financial sense to them.

If it's not a B-52, I'll gladly take a P-8 Poseidon. Hopefully the all new tool fixed that awful rounded nose.

I thought Gemini's models were picked out months and months and months in advance?

Delta just got their A321. Alaska changed their livery in January. And the Malaysian Retro just made its debut not too long ago. I mean, I could be totally wrong on this.

2-3 months I believe, but that's not to say they don't always work in partnership with certain airlines in terms of release schedules.

That makes sense. And they are close with Delta so that could very well be it.

I'm more into 1/200, but am very curious about the Gemini MAC. A B-52 would be great, or a B-1!

If the airline was commissioning it, they would have had access to all of the artwork well ahead of the official reveal.

Hopefully a B-52 out of those 2. A lot more possible liveries, and it's never been done before in 1/400. Dragon did a 1/400 B-1 and 1/400 B-2.
Still lots of possibilities though, C-141, B-17, B-52, Tu-160, XB-70 etc.

I thought about this one too. I'll wait for the Phoenix though.

As for the MAC, I would be very surprised if it is a B-52. E-4B and B-2 seem much more likely.

I would also like a 1/400 B52, if not soon, maybe next year?
I have no plan to buy the Herpa 200 one because it won't fit my narrow display cabinet.

B-52 sounds like something Dragon would have made when they did 1:400 moulds. Haven't really seen anything outside of cargo, tanker, and ISR aircraft as far as Gemini goes.

A brand by the name of Seagull made a B-2 and F-117 IIRC. A B-52 would be a most welcome addition in my fleet - even though I don't usually collect military.
