Lightbulb What ONE plane do you want more than anything?

Yes, this certainly is a "typical, boring" thread (but there's plenty of AC/JX news, Tucano-bashing, etc going on to entertain us) but I still like to see what people want. And I also want to show off the new pic of N211MD I found (I STILL can't find a COLOR version of the best pic--the best pic is PERFECT, it could be on the cover of ANY airliner book--but I've only got it in B&W).

I want N211MD, the 2nd MD-11 prototype, and the only one to have full markings. If the MD-11's first flight wasn't running 3 months late, MDC would have taken the extra 2 days to paint it (N111MD) in these colors, rather than "titles only" like it had. N311MD (first with PW engines) had the full tail and winglet markings, but a solid white fuselage with no stripes. N411MD was similar to the very first one (bare metal, minimal markings). N514MD (511-513 must have been taken) was the last test plane, it's much more famous for being one of the two GE-powered DL planes.

For me it is a Royal Air Force VC10 K3 or K4, I just love VC10's, and the super VC10 was best of all, and the RAF are by far the most important user the VC10 ever had, hence my choice.

ANYTHING ON A 737!!!

I would like it if they came out with a WestJet 737-800 in the combo WestJet/Delta livery! That would be cool. But than again, I did have one custom made, and it is cool that it is a one of a kind!

My one choice?

You don't indicate if an existing mould must be used, or if I can specify anything....

.... so in true DAC tradition, I ignore the 'rules' and give two answers:

If I can have ANYTHING - a BOAC Super VC-10!!
(right , Neils?)

If I must use an existing mould - The L.1011 Tristar 'demo' aircraft that toured Europe, basic EA colours, BEA 'Speedjack' tail.

I must admit that I love BOAC and buy any model in their colours, but the RAF are still flying VC10's 20 years or more after they were retired from airline use and will be flying them for a while yet, and they ended up with the biggest fleet as they bought a lot of the old BOAC/BA ones in the 80's in addition to the RAF newbuild C1's delivered in the 60's, so they had I think 27 VC10's at one point. So my point about the RAF being the most important user is based on longetivity and fleet size, also they did carry some way cool schemes in RAF service (including camouflage!), and I'm nuts about RAF models Take care,

I would love to see the great King Ruben make a,
Canadian Pacific DC8 (43 or 53)
CPAir DC8 (43 or 53)
Trans Canada Airlines DC8 (43 or 53)

And not to forget a,
CPAir DC10-30

There are many others on my "kill for" list but if I had these puppies all would be right with the world.

I know that was more than one but it's too hard to pick just one.

If the field includes just die cast 1:400 planes I would have to say an AA 990 Astrojet. If the field were to include all miniature aircraft, I have to say that I am looking for a 1950s United Stratocruiser Friction toy with wing lights.

HMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... a hard one. Does a triple pack qualify? (I know, I sound greedy, but indulgence is healthy from time to time) I would love a Virgin Blue Triple Pack with the following =
B733 "Albino" VH-CZQ
B737 VH-VBM with Blended Winglets
B738 VH-VOF with Blended Winglets...
...
...
...
...
...
...
... and a MAS 5 pack! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!

Arrow Greenland Air 757-200!

This was the sole twin jet in the fleet until now. Greenlandair has changed its name to Air Greenland and in doing so is introducing the A330-200. The 757 in the first colors would be great. Some others I wanted have already been made!

Default almost any DC-10 livery would be great

But, the one livery I would like first would have to be the Swissair mid-80's early 90's livery.
After that the United delivery colors or the stars & bars DC-10.

My greatest wish(es) can only be found in Aeroclassics molds at the moment. Naturally, if I must choose, the ONE plane I want more than anything in 1/400 scale (or any scale for that matter), is the KLM L-1049G Super Constellation (final colors).

Of course, if Andrew is going to make this one, I sincerely hope he will let us know how and where we can purchase one before they sell-out. (I don't think I've EVER seen an Aeroclassics L-1049G for sale... the Lufthansa sold out before I even knew the mold existed!)
