Default OT - Tomorrow's Plans

Just curious on how many of you will plan to spend tomorrow. The media has a lot of programming which they hope will stir us one way or another or at least buy a certain brand of hot dog. But it seems how people plan to spend tomorrow varies quite a bit.

Tomorrow, I will be working, flying and teaching my students how to be safe airmen. I will be continuing towards my dream of one day occupying the left seat of an Alaska Airlines aircraft. I will be thinking of my friends who today are guarding US facilities, in Afghanistan, and in the air with plane loads full of innocent people. I will think of those who cannot continue their lives today as I am, because they were cut short by a desperate act of violence and brutality. And I will especially think of those who's lives were cut short not because they were in the buildings when it happened, but because THEY WENT INTO THE BUILDINGS AFTER IT HAPPENED. Tomorrow, God bless the FDNY, NYPD, Port Authority, US ARMY, US NAVY, US AIRFORCE, AND US MARINE CORPS! I will also think of my family and friends and my special girl who I am very fortunate to have.

But, as a Captain in the US ARMY, I will also BE READY to place myself in harms way to prevent and to respond to any despotic acts of terrorism towards this nation and her people.

I hope that everyone stays safe tomorrow and pauses to remember those who one year ago today were with us, and who one year ago tomorrow, became heroes.

God Bless America and keep her safe,

FlyFrontier

Post 9/11 Tribute

On 9/11 I'm planing to go to my local airport to observe a day of respect and tribute.
At the very end of the tarmac there is a parking spot for people to view planes taxing into the main runway. I have my big flag, my two kids and another friend to wave a salute to every departing/arriving aircraft.
