Got today the Flying Coulours Nalanji Dreaming made by Dragon.....oooops ofcause made by Dougguan in Guangdond (thats what the Packing says).
However when I opened the box at my dealer I got a shock.
I thought that the colours are waaayyyyy to light, but now after comparing it with pictures of the real thing, I have to say its too light but not so dramatic as
wheels are the same bullsht as the ANA Whale and have a look to the engines (?????) I think it is a new design too
OK here first a picture of the whole model
next post: Close up with engines
third post: Comparing the colours with foto of the original (boo named "coloured Birds"
By the way, who could please explain to me how to make it that the pictures "pop up" directly
please give me a short explanation for next time scallywacs@aol.com
Nice photos! I can agree with you that the colours are a bit light - but that doesnt stop my from owning this beauty! As for the engines, i cant complain about them at all. Mine are perfect and I have no problems with them what so ever.

I just received my DW/FC Nalanji Dreaming and I'm a bit upset with it. In fact, I bought two of them and after a very close inspection, they weren't made very well. They look like "rush" jobs from DW/FC!
The engines do not have a round but an oval shape. The engine nacelles have some chipping showing and the nose gear on both, including the dealer that I bought mine from, keeps falling off and also shows chipping. The wheels have some silver showing on them too. And the right side of the wing of both planes is lower to the ground than the left side!
And due to the wheels being made of metal, it's impossible to straighten them up if there off. And both of my models wheel bases are off. It's a bit upsetting after paying such a high price for them too. Oh well, at least I have both of the Dreaming's by Qantas now....
Engines 1 and 2 were FUBAR and the paint scheme seemed off to me. Sent mine back. I can get better looking planes made MUCH better from DW and GJ. Though the paint job on the body was O.K., I'm not getting it.

Well, from what I can see on the pics the engines do not look that bad-but maybe there is a difference from model to model.
Hope to see more 747`s with the RB211.

IMO the engines are actually Excellent and very nice but this DW one isn't that accurate as the real engine ... personally think it looks excellent especially in the Saudia and PIA

Unless you are comparing Nalanji at dawn or sunset, the paint scheme looks perfect to me. The only minus on this model is the wheels and theengines. The wheels can be replaced easily. The engines are made from very soft metal, they can be easily broke or bend. But if you are lucky enough, you can actually find a perfect one. I like mine
I had mine sent from Berlin. I have to agree with those of you that think the engines are a bit rough. They look allright, but the paint could have been better. I still like it very much, and it will go nicely with the other special c/s 747's in my collection.
now if only I could get that JAS 777, then I would consider my collection pretty complete (as if that would ever happen!?)
