The Air Spain DC8 would look great in Geminis Dc8 mould! And I long for an Old color Varig DC10, 707. 767, 747 anything!

I agree that both are very good candidates. The Air Spain does look very nice.

If you're gonna make a DC-10, add a PAL DC-10 old colors please.

Ive seen it a couple of times on airliners.net I think they only had DC8s. I think it a cool livery, alot better than Iberia, although I would love to see some Iberia models soon.

Exclamation That is a 767-200! Not a -300.

Look at the wing exit and the red type behind the wing!

I'd like to see more 737-200s myself. I'd really like to see a USAir 737 in the bare metal "three reds" scheme, but I'd be just as happy with United (either the red/blue/orange cheatline or the current colors).

I didnt know there was a cubana dc8. These would all be great! Although I think the Pan Am is out of the question right now with the DW-Gemini Rights bull****. Definately the Braniff Calder would be awesome, I dont see to much mention of it here. I remember seeing this DC8 at LAX from the seat of a Pan Am 747 many times when I was a kid. I saw the Surinam DC8 in Miami in 87 and thought it was cool.

Air Spain started out in 1966 with Bristol Britannias. The titling was red, the cheat line was blue, and there was some yellow trim in the front sort of like where the red was on the Braniff DC-7. The tail was mostly white with colors of Spain's flag on the upper tip, a blue speedbird type logo and "air spain" in lower-case script.

Air Spain was a charter airline that flew holiday passengers (I think) from the UK.

Axel,

Is that 762 arriving at Miami?

That Air Spain would be a colorful addition to the collection for sure. Didn't Varig also have DC-8s? I thought they did. I would love to see one from Gemini.

Air Spain is one of these very classic and colourful Spanish charter airlines of the 1960's and 1970's. They started up with Bristol Britannias and added the DC-8-21 later. Unfortunately, they ceased operations (as many Spanish charter airlines of that time)... They all (Air Spain, T.A.E., TransEuropa, Hispania) faced hard competition from Spain's most prominent and renowned independent charter airline of the 1960's and 1970's: SPANTAX.

Time to get some Air Spain and T.A.E classic DC-8s as well as a DC-8 Super Sixty of Spantax!

jjorgemiami:

that right, a Cubana DC-8 exploded by a bomb just after take off from BGI.

Also, Cubana DC-8 is first on my list of wanted DC-8's as well as ALM and Cayman Airways.

The longer I collect, the more affinity I have for retro aircraft and liverys. Gemini has awesome moulds in the DC-8, both standard and stretched, 707, 727, and 732. Soon Aeroclassics should provide much relief in the form of new moulds.... Caravelle, TU-154, and ????
