Does anyone have any news on BAE146's or RJ's? I would dearly love to see a manufacturer do a line of these.
If Herpa can do it in 1:500, then surely DW or Gemini can do it in 1:400!

Well, DragonWings will do it sooner or later. I am eagerly waiting for regional jets... I'd rather prefer if GJ, DW and JX would utilize their current (but rarely used) moulds of the L-1011 and DC-10 for some new releases!

Well, yes. I am still dreaming of the delivery Cathay L1011, you know, the one with the Swire logo on the nose, not above the cheatline. But that still does not stop me from wanting a good RJ85 in Lufthansa colours. Come on DW!

RJ's and modern turbo props are the biggest hole in the hobby!! As well as RJ's I'd love models of the ATR and Dash 8.

Actually, Big-Q, there are several levels of wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

Single "wink" or use of wink smiley: lowest level, usually used as an affirmative. Not typically used for hinting at anything.
Example: "Yeah, Ozark rocks!"

"Wink-wink": Next level up, used to call attention to the inference of the post.
Example: "Moose got abducted by aliens, and they did things to him- sexual things, wink-wink."

"Nudge-nudge": Just a shade higher than wink-wink, asks the reader to really pay attention to the inference of the post.
Example: "No, really they did do things to Moose, nudge-nudge."

"Wink-wink, nudge-nudge": Next level up on the scale, usually used to indicate that the information in the post is really a juicy one.
Example: "Moose ain't the same since his abduction by aliens, wink-wink, nudge-nudge."

"Wink-wink, nudge-nudge, know-what-I-mean": The highest level, if you're using this you might as well spill the beans of what you know.
Example: "If I had to share a hotel room with Moose, I'd be worried, wink-wink, nudge-nudge, know-what-I-mean?"

Does that clear things up?

Doc,

Now you scared the bejesus out of me. How am I supposed to sleep knowing this horrifying information???? Am I safe here in CT.?

For everyone else's benefit, please do NOT try to make sense of this. Chicken is typing subliminal messages, which can only be read with a secret decoder ring!!!

The International Toy Fair at Nuremberg takes place from January 30 thru February 5, 2002. Yes, we will hear about the news soon after (or before).

My spies have informed me that GJ will be revealing a startling new airframe mould within two weeks...it may or may not be related to this post and may or may not be smaller than a DC-9...that is all...

Actually I meant "horizon" in the generic sense, but I see you got the idea about the proper use of "wink-wink" and "nudge-nudge".

SAY NO MORE!!!

A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat you know!

I sure hope to see some regionals on the way. And I hope that GJ/DW don't just concentrate on the RJ's. Sure, Jungle Jets are cool, but we also need the unsung hero's of air travel - the turboprops!

Well, isn't this just wonderful? 747-438 and I were planning on splitting a suite with Moose next month at the first annual JetCollector.com MCO Getaway Weekend. We thought we could save a few bucks by dividing the tab three ways instead of two. Now I find out that Moose has been abducted by aliens? Great.. just phucking great. Chicken, I wish you told me this last week before I booked the room with this guy.

2 civil jet engines or ones with a military origin? (The CRJ's engines are identical to the A-10 Warthog's)

Anyways, my want list is short (just the ones's I've seen/flown on)

Comair CRJ-100, widget
Comair CRJ-100, 100th CRJ special scheme (If DW or GJ needs UP CLOSE pics of all the little details, ask me--I was taking photos as I was boarding!) (as there are so many Comair CRJ's with special schemes, it's the one that is mainly red, white, and blue, one of the first special schemes, the nose is blue with white stars, the tail is red and white with a maple leaf)

NW Airlink (Express Airlines I) SF-340A, nc
NW Airlink SF-340, the only special SF340 scheme--all silvery, with the checkered pattern (dunno the name)
NW Airlink (Mesaba) ARJ-85

American Eagle (Simmons) ATR42-300

And in the "which category is it in?" category, I'd like an America West/Mesa Fokker 70. The last plane to be delivered in the original scheme. (And they flew to DSM!)

...yes, when they say "jet" they mean "pure jet" only, not prop jet ... AeroClassics does not make such distinctions, however.
