Default Gemini Airbus

Guys without starting any war of words here am I correct in thinking that Gemini have little interest in making Airbus types,
my small collection is so far all GJ and badly want to add the 310 the 330 and 340 but all we have had so far is the smaller types,
do I wait or do I go to Dragon who seem to bring these out with regularity, and what is the quality like with Dragon.

The newer A330's and A340's from Dragon Wings look great (In my opinion)

The A300's look pretty good to. (athough I only have 1 of them in my collection)

As for A310's Dragon Wings don't have them out yet.

Arrow Airbus narrowbodies!

The Gemini A319's and 320's are great! I have the widebody Dragon's and they are improving.

The older DW Airbus models certainly left a lot to be desired, and the old A320 especially was probably the worst mould in 1/400 scale, although it wasn't as bad as some might say.
The latest DW Airbus models are excellent, the latest A320 series from DW are very good, the only thing that still let's it down is the way the horizontal tail stabilisers are inserted into the fuselage. The A300 is superb, a fantastic model, as is the A340-600. The A340-300 and A330 are both very good and worthy of a place in any collection too.

I'll tell you a problem about the DW A300; its landing gear is too low to the ground.

The landing gear should be higher.

I think you will be satisfied if you only buy the newer release of Airbuses from DW. Like many others said above, the old Airbuses from DW are in pretty bad shape. The majority of my collection are
GJ as well, but I do appreciate DW efforts to make better moulds
especially Airbuses. Buy the newer DWs, you will like them.
I hope this help you as well.

Best,
Benjamin

I don't think it can be attributed to disinterest in doing Airbus models but more of the fact that there's so much to do with their existing models. Let's face it, GJ used to cater more to the American market and that market was more of a Boeing market than Airbus.

I would love to see more Airbus models from GJ like the A330 and A340 wide bodies but I would have to be honest in saying that I'd prefer to see the B720, B721, B737 variants not produced yet and of course, RJ's (please!!!) more than the Airbus right now because there are a lot fo beautiful liveries you can do on these airframes. Another reason for that, is also because DW is doing the Airbus models and the new generation models are very nice.

But make no mistake, I would of course love to see GJ make all these Airbus models.

I'd rather see Gemini release some RJs and props rather than get into Airbus right now. I surely would love to see a Gemini A330 and/or A340 as well, but Dragon has those moulds, and we are in desperate need of RJs and props.

What's puzzling to me is why Dragon doesn't release some interesting schemes on these moulds. Why do we get the same old Emirates, Swissair, and Lufthansas over and over and over again?? For God's sake, why don't they release something interesting like:

A340: Lan Chile, Air Canada, Air Jamaica, or some more Air Tahiti Nui

A330: Aer Lingus, Canada 3000

I have 2 A340-600s and I am very impressed with them. I agree that the older Airbuses left a lot to be desired. I had an old SIA A340-300 and I was not upset when the cats ate part of the tail. I sent it off to a fellow DAC member who collects broken models.

The old A320s were really horrible.

DW's older A330 and 340's landing gear were so shocked!
It makes whole-thing (not to seperate wheel and gear)

Newer A330 and 340's are so good shape but they don't release the other airline.

Swissair, sabena, Lufthansa over and over again!!!

I want to see other airline's fleet and GJ's new A330 and 340.
Also unique scheme, too.

By the way, has there ever been a 1:400 release of the Air Niugini A300 Bird Of Paradise scheme? That would be cool! I am impressed with the quality of models now, though the cockpit windows of the DW A330 range seem awry somehow. Can anyone put me right or confirm this?

I doubt Gemini has little interest in making Airbus models. The market can only absorb so many models at one given time. I am sure we will be seeing Gemini A330's, A340's as well as the A310's and A300's in the near future.

Thanks, Wingman... I thought it was a problem with the 2 A300's I have... I've had to 'lift 'em up' a bit
