Question Anyone heard from AVC Hong Kong?

It has been almost a week since the happening of the dissappointing incident. Anyone heard from them? I have sent a couple of emails but no replies yet. Love to hear from you guys who were affected. Thanks.

Mach,

I noticed there have been something being hotly-discussed in this forum concerning AVCHK, but I did not read it through. Although I can't ensure you of anything, don't worry. I've visited the shop on last Sat and chatted with Chris. What he showed me is a sample box of a very small size for the forthcoming BA777. The box itself was very good indeed and it differs alot from the conventional one.
There may be rumors saying this shop is closing down. However, I do have confidence with the shop. It has been appearing here since early 1999 and I have 99% of Geminijets purchased from them. I know Chris as well, though not of a very close relationship. What I perceived is that he is a kind person and reliable person. I don't think he will fool the collectors.
That's all I can say.
Happy Days for fellow collectors and stay calm.

Raymond perhaps you could do all of us out here a huge favour and ask Chris if the model is going to be manufactured at all.

AS I said before, I'm just joking... so no offence.

Since you are living so close to that coward tortoise, why don't you try to get him out of the shell and meet up with us. We would like to know how he's doing?? Stop being a hermit!!!! Show up!

All I can say and help fellow DAC collectors is that: Be Paitent...The sample is still at his shop and orders are at HK$238 per model. If he wanted to cheat us, his shop will be long closed and not open for business everyday in HK. He is still in his little shop everyday.......................................He even has new models like SAS A340 1:200. So, I don`t think he will be out for business...

But why no reply????????????????? Is this called courtesy ?
What the heck does it mean by being patient? Do you expect us to pay for something, sit down and wait endlessly?
Are our emails sent to ghost towns? I hope you see the point here. Look, even TG757 bothers to post some updates here. I don't see why can't Chris do the same!!!! Does it mean anything to remain silent? I don't think so!!

I believe (someone please correct me if I am mistaken) that I read on another thread on this subject that ADI advised that this project would not happen. That is a pretty strong indication to me that this HK version is a no go. There is a long distance between a sample and production. If I was a betting man, I would bet that we will see this model as a regular GJ release, sans a HK version. However, I hope ACHK can pull it off because it sounds like a nice and unique model.

Have a friend in HKK.
Mailed me to confirm that they still have a sample in the shop with a special advert "Limited 1000 pieces"

So let's wait and see what's comming out .
