Default Gemini Jets Delta 757-200

I just realized that the Gemini Jets Delta 757-200 is boxed with the registration number N601 DL yet the model is marked N601 DN.

I searched on Airliners.net and the search turned up an N601 DL but no N601 DN.

Is this a common phenomena?

is the model going to be a collectors item..or is it no big deal.?

Interesting. Well, the only "DN's" in Delta's 757 fleet are N661DN through N671DN. All others are DL (inclduing N601DL), with a few DA's, and even fewer DE's. (Plus the miscellaneous freak regs). The only "double" reg numbers I know of in the US do happen to belong to Delta, ironically--they have MD-88's numbered N901-N910, with BOTH DL and DE suffixes for each (20 planes). They also have 767-300's that are around N170-N180, with DL and DZ suffixes, again, each suffix for each number.

(The whole point of this post was that I thought perhaps there were BOTH N601DL and N601DN 757's, as Delta seems to have a lot of "double" reg numbers). Guess not.

This was discussed many moons ago. This was just a minor mistake made by Gemini.

Yeah, the box is right but the model is wrong. Mistakes happen time to time, especially when the company is based in Las Vegas and the production is on the other side of the Pacific.

I think the Aerolineas Argentinas 747SP had an incorrect reg.# also... (for some reason I remember that. I guess I need a life! )

I would be interested in seeing Gemini release a DL B757-232 in the "widget" colors. Any comments??

Awhile back I posted a thread requesting several 757s that I really need for my collection. One of them was the DL 'Widget' 757. So yes, we could use this model. After all, didn't Delta at one time have about 110 of these aircraft in service?

tdh8192,

At the present time, DL operates 121 757's in the following configurations:

B757-232 - 116
B757-26D - 1
B757-212 - 4

There are also persistant rumors floating around that DL may be looking at the 757-300 in a few more years to replace our early model B767-232's. Any comments??

Regards,

I second that 757 widget request. More 757's in American West colors I say!

757-300......NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Replacing a Can "type" aircraft with a manually loaded aircraft is not what ramp personel want to hear about. I haven't heard any talk in the Delta camp about replacing the 767-200 with anything. That, of coarse, doesn't rule it out. All I can do is hope we keep our 767-200's.

Thought it was N666DN - flew on that particular aircraft not once, but TWICE!

Hey KP, the new -300 is sweeet, they have the scandinavian belt load system (a giant carpet for the bags) only need one guy in the bin. but it's hell when it breaks as already happened on ATA's 737-83Ns

and yes it's N666DN

muhahahahaahaaa
