Re: My primarily Delta fleet...
It's actually a BJURSTA cabinet from IKEA with additional glass shelves which they sell for $10.00 each.
I'll take a picture of the cabinet itself later and post it as well. I think the cabinet was $349.00 and it's available in three different colors.

I added more glass shelves in order to consolidate all of the 1:200 and 1:400 planes that were scattered around the guest room. Plus, with just the two glass shelves it seemed somewhat empty.
There are a handful of 1:100 scale planes, but I opted not to put them into the cabinet. With the exception of the B-747, which is plastic, all of the planes displayed are die cast.

R2D2 still works and that's the original set of figurines that you had to send off for. The landspeeder is long since gone. I've held on these "vintage" toys along with a Space 1999 Eagle sitting alongside the X-wing.

Re: My primarily Delta fleet...
What's that little gizmo with a cord attached that's hangin' off the side of the closet door? An alarm that sounds should someone open the door to the cabinet and mess with your models??

Nothing that elaborate, just the controls for the LED lights in the cabinet. Easy access hanging there.

Very nice,
i want to replace the halogen lighting in my display case with LED smd's but have yet to find anything that is compatible with multiple shelves. i know the Halo lighting must be bad if left on for extended periods of time. although LED lighting has come a long way recently, i'm waiting for the prices to come down a little more!
btw....i like the Jags in the lower case

Glad to see another good wife giving tacit approval for a gentlemen's collection.
If you are not married, then your girlfriend is just as kind. Though she may not talk to her friends about you.
If you are not dating anyone, you are regulated to troll the Comic-Con crowd for a mate.
Why?
Star Wars.
