GJ's still using their "one wing paint scheme fits all" on their MD-80's. An MD-80 as old as that should not have the latest paint pattern. (And it didn't, according to pics of it in that scheme at A.net)
Older MD-80's had much simpler wing paint. Overall bare, with a grey in-spar area. No complex pattern of grey ailerons, spoilers, trailing edge, etc. Very simple, like a DC-9. (For obvious reasons) |
