My second review!
I am reviewing GeminiJets' American Airlines DC-3 in 1/250 scale. OK..this one was purchased along with my 1:250 scale PSA MD-83, and makes a welcome addition to my fledgling collection. Being small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, this little gem still is able to depict the venerable DC-3 as she was known in her glory days. I am impressed with the detail that GeminiJets puts into their work. The rolling rubber wheels retract, but I don't want to figit with them too much, so in the box it stays until I have my display case! The natural polished finish makes it an attractive contrast when displayed along with your other models. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I genuinely like 1/250 scale. I know I'm a newbie and my vote means nothing to the diehards out there, but what's a hobby if you aren't enjoying it, right? I only wish 1/250 scale was as popular as 1/400 and 1/200 are. |

I think it is a shame that this scale never took off for GJs ... it is the perfect size .. you get great detail, yet it is a much better size than 1/200 if you want display more than a few. the MD-80s are awesome ... wish they had made a few more liveries ![]() |

I really love this model too. There's something about the orange and chrome that really catches your eye. It's my favorite. While I like its hand-held size, I could really go for one two or three times its size with the same level of detail. What a classic plane.
