Exclamation New Aeromini???

ARD Aviation Retail Direct is showing two new AeroMini models for sale.

Seems some one has reactivated the name.

They list two 1:250 BAe-146 diecast models. One a PSA and the other an Air Wisconsin. They look very nice. See one of their pictures below. Does anyone know more about these models?

They have had these for yonks. Second hand and quite old. Someone on here will know exactly who produced them, but maybe originally from Collecters Aircraft models in london? I have seen another PSA at a fair last year but thankfully declined at UK£60.
When will people realise 1/250th is dead and worthless.
I can't even sell my 1/250 solid diecast Swissair Boeing 747 for anything like decent money. $/£ Exchange rate is a bit of a killer here.

Correct, Collectors Aircraft Models in England back in the 80's reserected their version of the name only not the planes..It was spelled Airo mini and had absolutely nothing to do with the original company...However, they did repfinish original Aeromini 747's in TAP, BA, Qantas, and BOAC...These were sold at their store in the U.K.

Crownvic.
Still cannot determine the source of my Swissair 747. this is in 1/250th as opposed to the slightly smaller Airo/aero mini 747's.
Solid metal, hand finished as other Airo mini 737's that I have now sold.

I would say that the Swissair is an Airomini as these were done in 250 scale as well...However Schabak has made a Swissair 747-300 in 250 scale so it depends on what scheme it is...If it is the one of the later 90's scheme then its Schabak...

Definitely not a Schabak. Quality of Schabak is way down.
this came packed in foam in a brown box, Quality is similar to 1/200 Skyline/HAM/MAM etc.

These refinished 747's were sold from the shop on Great West Road around 1973 trading as VHF supplies. Sadly it went in to liquidation. Then they rstarted as C.A.M. and went for the AIROMINI brand a few years later I believe. What scale do you reckon those 747's were - about 1:290 ?

hi guys ,
with regards to the aero minis produced in the uk they did repaint original aeromini stock 747s in the 4 major liveries of TAP,BOAC,QANTAS,AND BA but they also did special one off paint liveries in any scheme that was around in the early 1980s on 747s i have heared of air india ,and lufthansa 747 but mr Tompkins senior from c.a.m london never had a list as such of what was available so i guess there are other out there he only did in very small numbers .
the later airominis were similar scale and had fixed stuck on wheels not retractable and they did almost every airliner you could think of from the 1980s -747-dc10-a300-707-dc9-caravelle-tristar-and including some great little props viscount-vangaurd-twin otter plus others and there was a production list for the late 1980s airominis all hand finished and there detail was truely outstanding if anyone on here can post some pics you will see what i mean, and i am sure it will open a few doors for new collectors i wish i still had mine !
